Queen’s Wharf Apartments
You know what struck me first about Queen's Wharf Apartments?
You know what struck me first about Queen’s Wharf Apartments? The address alone tells you everything – 8 Margaret Street puts you right in the thick of Brisbane’s CBD, but honestly, it’s the good kind of central location where you’re not drowning in tourist chaos. I mean, you’re literally a stone’s throw from the Brisbane River, and I actually found myself walking down to the waterfront most evenings just because it felt natural. The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense feel that screams “we’re here for people who actually want to live in this city for a few days,” not just pass through it.
What really sold me on this place was how it handles the whole apartment-style setup without making you feel like you’re camping out in someone’s spare room. The kitchens are actually functional – I’m talking proper counter space and appliances that don’t look like they came from a garage sale. It’s one of those places where you can grab groceries from the Woolworths on Adelaide Street (maybe a 7-minute walk) and actually cook something decent instead of surviving on hotel breakfast buffets. The 4-star rating feels spot-on too; it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but everything works properly and the furnishings don’t make you cringe. I appreciated the laundry facilities, especially since Brisbane’s humidity can turn a week-long trip into a wardrobe emergency pretty quickly.
Location-wise, this is where Queen’s Wharf really shines, and I don’t just mean the obvious stuff. Sure, you’re walking distance to Queen Street Mall and all that, but here’s what the travel sites don’t tell you – you’re positioned perfectly to avoid the worst of the Friday night crowds while still being close enough to duck into Eagle Street Pier for dinner without calling an Uber. The ferry terminal is right there, which honestly became my favorite way to get around the city. Parking can be a bit of a dance (welcome to any CBD), but the building’s garage situation is manageable, and street parking isn’t impossible if you’re willing to walk a block or two. The 8.7 rating makes sense when you add it all up – it’s not perfect, but it delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re trying to experience Brisbane like you live there, not just visit it.

What could be improved: Nothing
Great location and comfortable with everything you need. Close to Casino and Southbank and May restaurants. Great location and nicely appointed apartment. Very comfortable for 2 adults and 1 child.
What could be improved: Air conditioning never went to warm so apartment was cold, hot water was lukewarm in the shower and there was someone’s used wet washer gathering dust down the side of the bathroom vanity but none of affected our stay too badly just worth noting.
excellent accommodation location of the accommodation, cleaness of the property and facilities provided.
What could be improved: N/A
Our host was so helpful and everything about our stay was perfect, thank you. Extremely easy to get the keys, communication was exceptional, the instructions were so clear and key location was just outside the property.

What could be improved: parking was difficult
was not able to prebook parking thru apartment provider
all public parking nearby would not accept online bookings that day (unsure why)
had to park in casino & pricing was ridiculously expensive for 1 night.
everything i saved on accom was lost in parking costs.
Killer view The apartment had a spectacular view overlooking the Brisbane River. Sunrise in the morning was amazing from the bedroom and balcony. Easy access to nearby shopping and dining and leisure parks was within walking distance. Clean and tidy.
36th floor view was to die for. Happy with my choice to stay here for 5 nights.
What could be improved: No microwave, and a dustpan other than that.
