Park Regis North Quay
Park Regis North Quay
You know what struck me first about Park Regis North Quay?
You know what struck me first about Park Regis North Quay? The lobby actually feels like someone put thought into it – not just another generic hotel entrance with marble everything. I mean, it’s polished enough for a 4-star place, but there’s something approachable about it that made me think “okay, this might actually be good.” The staff at check-in seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions, which honestly sets the tone for everything else.
The location is where this place really shines, and I’m not just saying that because every hotel claims to have a great location. Being right on North Quay means you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Brisbane River – and I timed it because I’m that person. You can stroll down to the Riverside Markets on Sunday mornings without breaking a sweat, or hop on one of those CityCat ferries that tourists love but locals actually use too. The rooms facing the river are worth the extra cost if you can swing it, especially around sunset when the light hits the water just right. Even the city-facing rooms aren’t bad though – you get this interesting view of Brisbane’s mix of old and new architecture that changes completely once the sun goes down and all the office lights come on.
What I appreciated most was how the hotel strikes this balance between being professional and not taking itself too seriously. The fitness center is small but functional (the treadmill actually works, which is more than I can say for some places), and the restaurant downstairs serves decent coffee – crucial for early morning meetings or jet lag recovery. Parking is available but it’ll cost you, which is pretty standard for Brisbane CBD honestly. The rooms themselves are comfortable without being flashy, with those little touches that matter when you’re actually living in the space for a few days – good lighting for reading, enough outlets for your devices, and a shower with proper water pressure. I stayed during a busy conference week and the elevators were a bit slow during peak times, but nothing that ruined my day. The 7.7 rating feels about right – it’s solid, reliable, and does what it promises without any major surprises (good or bad). If you’re looking for something centrally located where you can actually walk to restaurants and the river without feeling like you need to plan an expedition, Park Regis North Quay delivers on that front.

Well the view of my room was overlooking the train station & u can see where the Suncorp stadium. I think I did request overlooking the riverbank view but it’s okay. The most important thing is the comfort of my room.
