The river walk is perfect for morning jogs, and honestly, being slightly removed from the CBD chaos is actually a blessing – you get that peaceful water vibe but you’re still only 15 minutes to the city center via the CityCat (which, by the way, stops right at Hamilton). Parking was surprisingly stress-free, which anyone who’s driven around Brisbane will appreciate. The only minor gripe I’d have is that the area can feel a bit quiet on weekday evenings – this isn’t Fortitude Valley with its buzzing nightlife – but if you’re looking for a sophisticated base to explore Brisbane without the tourist crowds, The Hillside delivers exactly what it promises.
