You know what caught me off guard about OXLEY? Walking up to 6 Logan Avenue, I was expecting just another suburban rental – but this place actually has character. The mineral pool hit me first (obviously), and honestly, it’s not some tiny plunge pool they’re overselling. It’s proper-sized, and the water has this slightly different feel to it – softer, I guess? My skin felt amazing after soaking in it, which sounds like marketing BS but I’m telling you, there’s something to these mineral pools.
The location is quietly brilliant. Logan Avenue sits in this residential pocket where you’re not dealing with traffic noise, but you’re also not stranded in the middle of nowhere. There’s a little strip of shops about a five-minute walk away – nothing fancy, just the kind of local bakery and corner store that makes you feel like you’re living somewhere real rather than just visiting. The Brisbane CBD is maybe 20 minutes by car, which is perfect timing – close enough that you don’t feel cut off, far enough that you escape the city buzz. Parking was dead easy too, which anyone who’s dealt with Brisbane accommodation knows is actually a big deal.
What really works here is that it feels like staying at someone’s well-designed home rather than a hotel room. The decor is modern without being cold – lots of natural textures, good lighting, and everything just works properly. The kitchen is fully kitted out (I mean really equipped, not just a kettle and microwave situation), which is rare for accommodation at this price point. The bedrooms are generous, and the whole place has this relaxed energy that makes you want to slow down. I ended up spending way more time just hanging around the property than I’d planned, particularly around the pool area in the late afternoon when the light hits it just right. The 9.7 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just genuinely well-executed. If you want somewhere that feels like a proper retreat without the resort prices, and you don’t mind being a bit outside the city center, this is honestly one of the better finds in Brisbane.

What Our Guests Say
This property was so well equipped with items. Everything you would need to stay comfortably. It even had some food items available to use in the cupboards. Pool was wonderful. Set to a perfect temp.
