Ingenia Holidays Taigum
You know what struck me first about Ingenia Holidays Taigum?
You know what struck me first about Ingenia Holidays Taigum? It’s actually not trying to be something it’s not. Located on Beams Road in what’s honestly a pretty residential part of Brisbane’s north side, this place knows it’s a solid family-friendly resort and just owns it. I mean, you’re about 20 minutes from the city center, but that’s kind of the point – you get that holiday park vibe without being stuck in the middle of nowhere.
The facilities here are genuinely impressive for a 4-star place. There’s this massive lagoon-style pool that the kids absolutely lose their minds over, and honestly, the adults aren’t complaining either. What I really appreciated was how well-maintained everything felt – you know how some holiday parks can feel a bit tired around the edges? Not here. The cabins are spacious (we stayed in a 2-bedroom one that actually felt bigger than my apartment), and they’ve got proper kitchens with full-size fridges, which is a game-changer when you’re traveling with family. The air conditioning works properly too, which you’ll definitely need during Brisbane summers.
Here’s the thing though – and this is where local knowledge comes in handy – Taigum isn’t exactly a tourist hotspot, but that’s actually what makes it work. You’re close enough to hit up the big shopping centers like Westfield Chermside if you need supplies, and getting to places like the Redcliffe Peninsula or even the Sunshine Coast is pretty straightforward. The train station’s about a 10-minute drive away, so you can easily get into the city for day trips. Parking’s never an issue, which anyone who’s dealt with Brisbane’s CBD will tell you is worth its weight in gold. The resort itself has this relaxed, almost suburban feel – you’ll hear the occasional plane overhead (Brisbane Airport isn’t too far), but it’s not disruptive. What really surprised me was how quiet it gets in the evenings, especially during school term time. The staff seem to actually live locally, which means they know the area and can give you proper recommendations for things like where to grab decent coffee (there’s a surprisingly good café about 5 minutes down the road) or which parks are worth visiting with kids. The resort’s got that community feel where families come back year after year, and you can tell – there’s a genuine warmth to the place that you don’t always get at more polished resorts that feel like they’re just processing guests.

What Our Guests Say
- Nice spacey room with a good aircon
- Quiet area in the night
- Was able to do very early check-in after a night flight !!!
- Shopping center with restaurants and cafes a few minutes walk away
We liked the pool, the staff and the general facilities. It was easy to check in and check out. We were only there for one night as we had a cruise to attend the next day but it was worth the money. The location was a quick walk to the shops, the staff let us leave our bags at reception while we went to the shops/waited for our check in time and the whole process was very easy. There was even a function room you could use to play ping pong, watch tv or just have a chat with the family.
Good location for an overnight stay before continuing to the airport in the early hours of the morning. There is a decent sized shopping centre within walking distance, with many dining options.
Although a little dated, it had a comfortable bed, great air conditioner, and a beautiful pool.. Very tidy.
good location for my needs, value good, facilities clean, staff excellent
