The location works really well if you know Brisbane at all. Chermside gets overlooked by a lot of visitors who stick to the inner suburbs, but you’re actually in this sweet spot where you can hit Westfield Chermside in about five minutes (massive shopping center, proper food court, all that), and the train station’s close enough that getting into the city doesn’t become this whole production. Plus – and this matters more than you’d think – parking is actually manageable here. Try finding decent parking in New Farm or Paddington without paying through the nose. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet, especially during weekdays, though you’ll get some traffic noise from Rode Road during peak hours. It was very clean and close to the North West Hospital that I had to attend for some surgery. Was a lovely house. My Daughter travelled with me and said she would stay there again if in Brisbane next time. Very safe also.
Clean and private. Had milk, margarine and vegemite in the fridge when we arrived. Good supplies of crockery, cutlery and cooking pans in the kitchen. Plenty of cleaning supplies, paper towels and toilet paper. Good heating (it was a cold snap). Large bedrooms and plenty of bedding. Living space had plenty of room for the three of us. Good amenities across the road including supermarket, chemist, coffee and a number of takeaway restaurants.
Amazingly clean. Great facilities across the road. House was extremely quiet considering the major intersection we were on. Host was very pleasant.
