First Impressions
Walking into City Centre Apartment New Furnitures, you immediately notice how fresh everything feels — and I mean everything. The name isn’t kidding about those new furnishings, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. This three-star property sits right on Albert Street, and you know what? The location alone justifies booking here. It’s one of those places where you can actually walk everywhere instead of constantly calling rideshares.
Location & Getting Around
Being smack in the middle of Brisbane CBD means you’re literally surrounded by everything that matters. I’ve stayed in plenty of places that claim to be centrally located, but this one actually delivers on that promise — couples seem to get this, which is probably why they rate it so highly for romantic getaways. The free parking on-site is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving, because finding a spot in the CBD usually costs a fortune and involves walking several blocks with your luggage.
The Apartment Experience
What sets this place apart is that you’re getting an actual apartment rather than just a hotel room. The kitchen setup means you can grab groceries from the nearby Woolworths and cook your own meals — which, let’s be honest, saves you quite a bit when Brisbane restaurant prices start adding up. The furnishings really are new, not just refreshed like some places claim, and everything from the couch to the dining table feels solid and comfortable. You’ll appreciate the thoughtful design throughout the space.
Practical Considerations
The 7.1 rating might seem modest, but I think it reflects realistic expectations rather than any major flaws. This isn’t trying to be a boutique hotel with fancy amenities — it’s a well-located, properly furnished apartment that does exactly what it promises. The building itself is straightforward, no pretense, which actually works in its favor. You’re paying for the location and the convenience, not marble lobbies or concierge services you probably wouldn’t use anyway. It’s honest value for money.
Why Guests Love It
That 8.6 location score tells the real story here. When you can walk to Queen Street Mall, catch a CityCat from nearby terminals, or stroll down to South Bank without breaking a sweat, you start to understand why people keep coming back. The apartment setup gives you flexibility that regular hotels just can’t match — you can come and go as you please, store leftovers, and actually spread out your stuff. For couples especially, having that extra space and the option to cook together or just lounge around in actual living room furniture makes the whole trip feel less rushed and more like you’re temporarily living in Brisbane rather than just visiting.

What Our Guests Say
Great location, easy to locate, center of the business district and all shopping & eating areas
Very well furnished, self contained with washing machine and dryer, clean comfortable beds, central location.
Location was great .
Very local to city
Loved the location, set up of the apartment and the owner
Location
Location was great! just across Queen Street. Lots of restaurants downstairs and nearby, as well as grocery stores, cafes, pharmacy and other shops. The apartment was also clean. Kitchen was well-equipped. Beds are comfortable. Hot water in the shower was working well. Host was very responsive whenever we have questions.
Location
Do not book this apartment. Hidden cost hidden fees for items that anyone would consider absolutely 100% normal - two sets of keys ? A sofa bed (which is advertised) but then they tell you it’s an extra cost.
All one way traffic and not accomodating at all. The apartment ? Not clean at all, lights are all stuffed (need replacing).
Ridiculous payment process which involves the vendors taking fees for the booking even though you are paying through booking.com. Which is actually illegal in australia - I was charged in excess of $30 for a transaction fee ? Even though the ‘owners’ never processed a single bit of money. I’ve paid a deposit via a digital card (apple wallet) which can’t have funds credited back to it. So rather than providing bank details or another card they will just be trying that card. Mind you there was no preauthorised amount taken either, it was a fully cleared direct debt. Ridiculous & not disclosed until you can’t cancel the booking without the owners keeping your funds.
Heads up for the check in / deposit process’s in general. You have to provide details close to where you need to get a home loan - to a team that clearly isn’t very across what their doing. I have serious concerns for how my data will be used.
None of the appliances work - tv is absolutely useless. Showers are stuffed (and were unclean).
Your asked to clean and wash etc etc or your deposit funds won’t be returned ? Photos required of everything on check out?
I’ve used booking.com across the world. This is by far the most ridiculous booking I’ve ever had. I can describe how poor the experience has been.
Don’t book here, save yourself the endless amounts of drama.
