The kitchens are properly equipped (not just those sad little hotel kitchenettes with two burners), and the living spaces actually feel like living spaces, not hotel rooms pretending to be apartments. The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night, which – let’s be honest – is sometimes a gamble with apartment-style accommodations. One thing worth noting though: the soundproofing between units could be better. It’s not terrible, but if you’re a light sleeper, you might catch some of your neighbors’ conversations or TV shows in the evening.

What really makes this place work is the location specifics that the booking sites don’t really capture. You’re about a seven-minute walk to South Bank station, which puts you on the train line that’ll get you to the airport without any transfers – genuinely handy if you’re dragging luggage. But more importantly, you’re walking distance to West End, which honestly has some of the best coffee and food in Brisbane if you know where to look. There’s this little Vietnamese place on Boundary Street that locals queue up for, and the Saturday markets at Davies Park are absolutely worth timing your stay around. The Grey Street precinct is right there too, so you’ve got proper restaurants and bars within stumbling distance. Parking can be a bit of a pain during weekday business hours since you’re close to the CBD, but evenings and weekends are fine, and they do have some dedicated spots. The 4.5-star rating feels about right – it’s not luxury, but it’s well-maintained and thoughtfully set up. That 7.9 guest rating probably reflects what I experienced: it does what it promises without any major surprises, good or bad. If you’re the type who wants to feel like you’re staying somewhere with character rather than just crashing in a generic hotel room, and you actually want to explore Brisbane beyond the obvious tourist stuff, this is a pretty smart choice.
