I mean, anyone who’s driven around this area knows you’re usually circling blocks for twenty minutes, especially on weekends when everyone’s hitting up the Latrobe Terrace cafes.

I loved that the owners clearly live in Brisbane – there were local guidebooks that weren’t just the usual tourist traps, and they’d marked up some genuine recommendations. The wi-fi actually works properly throughout (tested it in the yard, no problems), and the whole place stays surprisingly quiet considering you’re in the middle of everything. Only minor thing – the hot water takes a minute to warm up in the morning, but that’s pretty standard for these older Brisbane houses. The location really shines during the day when you realize you can walk to the Barracks or catch the train into the city center without the usual Paddington parking headaches.
