Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked into the Adina on Ann Street, I wasn’t expecting much from what’s basically an apartment hotel. But you know what? This place actually gets it right in ways that surprised me. The one-bedroom setup feels like you’re crashing at a friend’s surprisingly nice Brisbane flat, complete with a proper kitchen that’s not just some sad mini-fridge situation. I mean, there’s actual counter space and everything – which honestly saved me a fortune since I could grab groceries from the Woolworths down the street instead of eating hotel food every night.
The location thing is where this place really shines, though I hate using that word because everyone says it. What I mean is – you’re literally a five-minute walk from Queen Street Mall, but you’re tucked away enough on Ann Street that you don’t get the constant noise of drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. The building itself sits right in that sweet spot where you can walk to everything (Central Station is maybe eight minutes if you’re not dragging luggage), but you’re not paying those insane rates you’d hit closer to the river. Actually, I discovered this little coffee place called Campos just around the corner that locals seem to know about – way better than the tourist traps near the mall.
What really sold me was the attention to detail that you don’t usually get in apartment-style places. The bed was actually comfortable – not that rock-hard nonsense you sometimes get – and there’s decent blackout curtains, which matters more than you’d think with all the city lights. The bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that actually works properly, and honestly, after walking around Brisbane in summer humidity, that became my favorite part of the day. The air conditioning keeps up too, which… well, if you’ve spent any time in Brisbane, you know that’s not negotiable. Only minor complaint is the elevator can be a bit slow during peak times, but that’s pretty typical for buildings in this area. The staff at check-in were straightforward and helpful without being overly chatty – they gave me the rundown on parking (there’s secure parking underneath, though it’s an extra charge) and pointed out a few local spots I wouldn’t have found otherwise. For the price point and that 8.1 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises without any of the pretentious stuff you sometimes get at fancier places.

Enjoyable and handy for our first time in Brisbane very clean and comfortable, close to walk to most areas of city or free bus for city loop
What could be improved: no issues
So happy I chose to stay here It was thoughtfully stocked, and had everything I wanted. Really clean, and i was lucky to get an early check in and late check out. The location is so convenient.
Superb
Very good Very central.fresh decor.rapid and courteous response from the host
A very enjoyable and comfortable stay The location, just opposite central station, very homely
Would highly recommend! Nice place! With access to Netflix YouTube Disney+ extra! Has washing machines, stoves, cooking equipment. Can’t ask for more! Great location to Queen street. Very convenient
What could be improved: Light isn’t bright enough!
Exceptional Great communication. Very happy
What could be improved: No problems at all
Disappointing to be turned off by the things that, if remedied, would have made my experience better Good location
What could be improved: No Tea Bags and when I requested a couple from reception they told me that I couldn't have any from them. The $15 per bag holding fee is just a joke. I wouldn't recommend staying at this room.
Highly recommend Location is fantastic right opposite Central train station. Short walk to all buses and Queen Street Mall and shops. Super comfy bed and felt very homely. I used to live in Brisbane and knew the location well. Would highly recommend the room to anyone.
I would also like to make mention and thank Hazel in housekeeping who accommodated me by storing my bag in the room as I arrived early. She made me feel very welcome.
What could be improved: Not much to say here other than the couch/sofa bed had a few stains and getting a bit worn and fabric stretched but otherwise comfy.
