You know what struck me first about Trafalgar Lane Apartments?
You know what struck me first about Trafalgar Lane Apartments? It’s actually got character – and I mean that in the best way possible. Tucked away on Stanley Street in Woolloongabba, this place feels like someone took regular apartment living and gave it just enough polish to make you feel spoiled without being stuffy about it. The building itself has this modern but not-trying-too-hard vibe, and honestly, the location is pretty brilliant if you know Brisbane at all. You’re literally a stone’s throw from the Gabba (cricket fans, you know what I’m talking about), but more importantly for most travelers, you’re close enough to South Bank that you can walk there without breaking a sweat, yet far enough away that you’re not dealing with all the tourist chaos right outside your door.
The apartments themselves are what really won me over though. These aren’t your typical cramped hotel rooms – you’ve got proper space to spread out, a kitchen that’s actually functional (not just a mini-fridge and a kettle), and the kind of setup where you can live like a normal human being for a few days. The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that hotel-bed backache, and the bathrooms are clean with decent water pressure – sometimes it’s the simple things, right? What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night. Woolloongabba can get a bit lively, especially when there’s something happening at the stadium, but the soundproofing is solid enough that you’re not listening to every conversation on the street. Parking was straightforward too, which if you’ve ever tried to find a decent spot in inner Brisbane, you’ll know that’s worth its weight in gold.
Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re positioned perfectly to actually experience Brisbane like someone who lives here, not just another tourist doing the same circuit. The local coffee scene around Stanley Street is genuinely excellent (there’s this little place about two blocks down that does better flat whites than most of the city center spots), and you’re close enough to Buranda station that getting into the CBD is painless. The staff at CLLIX seem to actually care about the place running smoothly – check-in was efficient, they knew the area well enough to give decent recommendations, and when I had a minor issue with the air conditioning, someone was up to fix it within an hour. I mean, it’s not luxury resort level service, but it’s the kind of reliable, no-nonsense approach that makes a stay comfortable rather than stressful. For a 4-star setup, the 8.2 rating makes complete sense – it delivers what it promises without any unpleasant surprises, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re traveling.

What Our Guests Say
Really good spot, hotel was great Clean, tidy. Great spot in Woolloongabba, close to everything.
What could be improved: Nothing
Overall a great stay and would stay again Great location.
Our apartment had an amazing balcony too.
What could be improved: The spa and pool area needs some maintenance
Exceptional Location and unit was very comfortable and well maintained/laid out
What could be improved: Free WiFi - I couldn't even access it and the bed was a bed uncomfortable with no TV in the room where most places I stay when I travel for work to QLD have a TV in the room
Was lovely, defiantly worth the money and plenty to do in the area Nice amenities, decently comfortable beds, lots of space for clothing, nice pool and spa, and basic gym was good
What could be improved: There was no basics for cooking like oil, salt, pepper which I thought was odd, every place I've stayed at had at least salt and pepper. Need to update the checking in procedure as the lock boxes are in use anymore
Superb Location is close to downtown. Although, it is small but was convenient. Good price and price.
Good Good position. Good facilities
What could be improved: Curtains in bedroom were not dark enough to block out the flood lights of the Gabba which were left on all night. I slept very badly.
Good value for money Good value for money overall. Nice sized apartment and met my needs of travelling for business. Had a Sauna, Steam and Pool but didnt have the opportunity to use.
What could be improved: A little hard to find the entrance + abilaity to gain access myself without assistance from reception, ( based on the instructions emailed ahead of time) albeit I arrived at 11pm, which probably didnt help.
Location was good. Communication by CLLIX staff could be greatly improved. Location to the adjoining GABBA sports stadium, which was the main reason for the visit, was excellent.
The room and facilities were very good.
What could be improved: Location was hard to find. Access was via a Trafalgar Laneway, off Trafalgar Street. It was very confusing and the front entrance was difficult to find when arriving in the evening.
I arrived after reception was closed and was required to call the out of hours number. I had difficulty in communicating with the staff member on the phone.
The computer system was not working when I checked in and I was unable to pay for the car park and bond at that time. Departing early the next day for a day out, I missed several calls from CLLIX requesting I attend reception and pay for parking and the bond. A message was left threatening to cancel my access fob if I did not attend reception, requiring me to halt my current drive and call, at which time I was on hold for a lengthy period before finally speaking to an operator and explaining my inability to attend reception.
Spacious and close to many things 10 mins walk any direction Close to things and GABBA
