I walked to Suncorp Stadium in about fifteen minutes, which was perfect since I was in town for a game. The river’s right there too, and if you’re into running or cycling, the path along the Brisbane River is gorgeous, especially early morning before it gets too hot. The area gets pretty quiet at night, which some people love and others might find a bit sleepy – depends what you’re after, I guess. The 7.6 rating seems about right to me; it’s not luxury, but it’s solid and comfortable with those little touches that make you feel like you’re actually living somewhere rather than just passing through. The apartments are clean, the air conditioning works well (crucial in Brisbane), and you’ve got actual space to spread out. If you’re the type who likes to have a proper base rather than just a place to crash, and you don’t need to be right in the middle of all the tourist action, this place delivers exactly what it promises.
