The parking situation is actually reasonable here (anyone who’s driven in Brisbane knows this matters), and the staff genuinely seem to know the area well. I asked about getting to the Gabba for a cricket match, and the guy at the front desk didn’t just give me directions – he told me about the best pub to grab a pre-game beer and warned me about the traffic patterns. That kind of local knowledge makes a difference. The hotel sits in a spot where you can easily get to South Bank or the city, but you’re also perfectly positioned for exploring the eastern suburbs if that’s your thing. I found myself appreciating how quiet it gets at night – you’re on busy roads, but somehow the building blocks most of the traffic noise.
