First Impressions
Walking into Spire Residences by the Spire Manager on Queen Street, you immediately get that “I’m staying somewhere special” feeling — but without the stuffiness that sometimes comes with upscale places. The lobby has this modern, clean aesthetic that feels more like a high-end apartment building than a traditional hotel, which honestly makes sense given the property’s residential-style setup. It’s a four-star property that punches above its weight, and you can tell from the moment you step inside that they’ve put real thought into the guest experience.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what really struck me about this place? The location is absolutely unbeatable — I mean, you’re literally in the heart of Brisbane CBD on Queen Street, which puts you within walking distance of pretty much everything that matters. The Queen Street Mall is right there, and you can easily stroll to the botanical gardens or catch a CityCat from the nearby terminals. What I particularly loved is that couples seem to get it — they consistently rate the location around 9.0, and after spending time there, I totally understand why. There’s something romantic about being able to walk everywhere together, whether it’s for dinner, shopping, or just exploring the city.
The Apartment-Style Experience
Here’s where Spire Residences really differentiates itself from your typical hotel stay. Each unit feels like you’re borrowing someone’s really nice city apartment rather than checking into a standard hotel room. The spaces are genuinely spacious, with separate living areas that give you room to actually spread out and relax. I found myself using the living area in the evenings to unwind, which is something you just can’t do in a cramped hotel room. The kitchen facilities are particularly well-equipped if you want to grab groceries from the nearby Woolworths and prepare your own meals — though honestly, with so many great dining options within walking distance, I didn’t cook much.
Practical Perks
One thing that immediately won me over was the on-site parking — and I can’t stress enough how valuable this is in Brisbane CBD. Finding parking in the city center can be a real headache, so having a guaranteed spot takes away that stress completely. The building itself feels secure and well-maintained, with good elevator access and common areas that are kept spotless. The staff, while not overly chatty, are genuinely helpful when you need them and seem to know the neighborhood well enough to give solid recommendations.
Why Guests Love It
After staying here, I get why this place consistently scores well with travelers. It’s that perfect sweet spot where you feel like you’re living in Brisbane rather than just visiting it, but you still get the services and amenities you expect from a quality hotel. The combination of the unbeatable location, the apartment-style comfort, and those practical touches like the parking really adds up to something special. Whether you’re here for business or leisure — or like many guests, a romantic getaway — Spire Residences gives you a genuine taste of what it’s like to live well in Brisbane’s vibrant city center.

What Our Guests Say
Beautiful apartment in central Brisbane close to great bars and restaurants. Fabulous city view from our room!!
Views and location were fantastic - a decent amount of space for two individuals on holiday together
The check-in staff were very helpful by offering a spare set of keys which was very useful for the two couples staying for the weekend. Fantastic river and valley views from the 23rd floor. Short walk to the Valley and to the ferry over to Kangaroo Point as well as to music venues in the CBD. Security was excellent. Loved the recycling option in the rubbish room.
Fabulous view, close to supermarket and excellent pool on the roof.
Bed was veeeeeeery comfortable.
Great view of the mountain.
