Spacious 2bed 2bath Apartment with City Views
Honestly, I wasn't expecting much when I first pulled up to this Spring Hill apartment – you know how these rental listings can be all flash and no substance.
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to this Spring Hill apartment – you know how these rental listings can be all flash and no substance. But walking into this place, I mean, wow. The space actually lives up to its name, and that’s saying something in Brisbane where “spacious” usually means you can stretch your arms without hitting a wall.
The city views are legit too, not some random glimpse of a building corner like you get with most places. From the main living area, you’re looking out over the Brisbane skyline, and if you time it right during sunset – which happens around 6:30 in summer – the whole city lights up in this golden way that makes you want to grab a wine and just sit there for a while. The two bedrooms are actually separate (thank god, because I’ve been burned by “open concept” disasters before), and both bathrooms are full-sized. The master bathroom has this rainfall showerhead that’s honestly better than what I have at home, though the water pressure takes about thirty seconds to really get going.
What I really appreciate about this spot is how it sits in Spring Hill itself. You’re literally a ten-minute walk down to the CBD, but you’re not dealing with all the Queen Street chaos and weekend noise. There’s a Woolworths just around the corner on Leichhardt Street – super handy for groceries – and this little Vietnamese place called Pho Street that does incredible banh mi for like eight bucks. The building’s got decent security (you need a key card for the elevator), and parking is included, which is actually a big deal because street parking in Spring Hill can be a nightmare, especially during the week when all the city workers are around. The only minor thing is that the apartment faces east, so you get gorgeous morning light but it can get pretty warm in summer if you don’t crank the air con early. The check-in was smooth too – the owner left clear instructions and responded to messages quickly, none of that “we’ll get back to you in 24 hours” nonsense. You know what really sold me though? The kitchen is actually set up for cooking, not just reheating takeout. Proper pots and pans, sharp knives, even a decent coffee machine. After staying in places where you’re lucky to find a can opener, this felt like such a luxury. If you’re planning to stay here during festival season or when the cricket’s on at the Gabba, book way ahead because spots like this in Spring Hill get snapped up fast.
