Royal On The Park
Royal On The Park
You know what struck me first about Royal On The Park?
You know what struck me first about Royal On The Park? It’s actually got this old-school elegance thing going on without feeling stuffy – and honestly, that’s harder to pull off than you’d think. The building sits right on Alice Street, which puts you smack in the middle of Brisbane’s CBD, but here’s the thing most people don’t realize: you’re literally across from the City Botanic Gardens. I mean, you wake up and there’s this massive green space right there, which is pretty rare for a city hotel.
The lobby has this warm, sort of sophisticated vibe – think rich woods and comfortable seating that doesn’t look like it came from a hotel catalog. Check-in was smooth (I got there around 2 PM on a Tuesday, so maybe that helped), and the staff actually seemed to know the area when I asked about dinner spots. The rooms are what I’d call “properly done” – not trying too hard to be trendy, just solid and comfortable. The beds are genuinely good, and the bathrooms have that satisfying weight to the fixtures that makes you feel like you’re somewhere quality. From my room on the seventh floor, I could see into the gardens, and honestly, watching people jog along the river path in the morning was oddly relaxing.
What really won me over was the location intelligence, if that makes sense. You’re a two-minute walk to Queen Street Mall if you need to shop or grab food, but Eagle Street Pier is just as close if you want something more upscale along the river. The parking situation is actually decent – they have valet service, which sounds fancy but really just means you don’t have to figure out Brisbane’s parking meters. And here’s something I appreciated: it’s quiet. Even being right in the CBD, the rooms facing the park don’t get the traffic noise, and the ones facing Alice Street have good windows. The whole place has this 4.5-star rating that feels earned rather than inflated – you’re getting proper service and quality without the pretension that sometimes comes with the fancier places. I’d honestly stay here again, especially since you can walk to South Bank in about fifteen minutes, or just hang out in the gardens when you need a break from the city energy.

Comfortable Rooms and nice pool.
We love Royal On The Park because of its beautiful interior, wonderful stuff and lovely room. Arriving at this hotel, we were warmly greeted provided excellent service that was consistent throughout our stay. Restaurant is lovely and very nice food.
We had a minor issue with our room that was completely out of control of the hotel and staff, however hotel staff went above and beyond to assist us. Just a beautiful hotel that we love staying at whenever we are in Brisbane
Great location across from the botanical park in downtown Very reasonably priced,
Proximity to riverstage was great. Just a quick walk through botanical gardens. The royal has an olde world charm i loved in reception area. I get the vibe customers are their main concern and everything else is secondary which is not always the feeling you get when you book into a motel. And price was reasonable and parking only $20 a night. Im never going back to Sydney again. I liked pool area too..
