Queen’s Wharf Brisbane The Star Luxurious 1 Bed

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked into this Queen’s Wharf apartment – I mean, it’s basically a residential tower that does short-term rentals, right? But stepping into unit 5803 on Margaret Street completely changed my perspective. The space feels way more luxurious than your typical hotel room, and you know what really got me? The floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Brisbane River like it’s a living postcard. I spent way too much time just watching the CityCats cruise by while sipping my morning coffee.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without the chaos. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the Treasury Casino (which some people love, others avoid entirely), and South Bank is just across the Victoria Bridge – I actually walked it most evenings because the sunset views are incredible. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays up there, even though you’re surrounded by the CBD buzz. The apartment itself has this modern, almost minimalist vibe with really comfortable furniture that doesn’t feel like it came from a hotel catalog. The kitchen is fully equipped, which saved me a fortune since Brisbane’s restaurant scene can get pricey fast. I made breakfast most mornings and grabbed groceries from the Woolworths on Queen Street – super easy.

The building’s amenities are where this place really shines, though. There’s a pool area that feels like a resort (definitely Instagram-worthy if that’s your thing), and the gym is actually decent – not just a couple of sad treadmills like some places. Check-in was smooth through their app system, which felt a bit weird at first but ended up being convenient when I arrived late from the airport. Parking costs extra, which is annoying but pretty standard for Brisbane CBD – though honestly, once you’re there, you barely need a car. The only minor gripe I had was that the air conditioning took forever to cool down the space on really hot days, but that’s Queensland for you. If you’re visiting during summer, just crank it early. Overall, this place hits that sweet spot between hotel convenience and apartment comfort, and the views alone make it worth the splurge – especially if you snag a river-facing unit like I did.
