The building itself feels solid, good lifts, and the lobby doesn’t have that slightly sketchy vibe you sometimes get in Valley apartments.

But here’s the real selling point – that rooftop pool area. It’s not huge, but it doesn’t need to be. What matters is you’re up there with the Brisbane skyline spread out around you, and it’s actually peaceful despite being in the middle of one of the city’s busiest entertainment districts. The pool’s clean, the deck chairs aren’t falling apart, and there’s enough space that you’re not sitting on top of other people. Location-wise, you’re literally in the thick of everything – Chinatown’s a two-minute walk, the train station’s right there when you need to get to the city proper, and you’ve got more bars and restaurants within stumbling distance than you could handle in a week. But surprisingly, the noise isn’t as bad as you’d expect once you’re up on the 18th floor. Sure, you’ll hear the weekend crowds if you’ve got the windows open, but it’s more ambient buzz than proper disturbance. The whole setup just works – it’s got that slightly upscale feel without being precious about it, and you can tell someone’s actually thought about what travelers need rather than just throwing together whatever furniture was on sale.
