First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Park Avenue Terrace House Sleeps 9 on a quiet street in Auchenflower, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from a four-star property that could accommodate such a large group. But this place surprised me — in the best way possible. The terrace house has this lovely Brisbane character that you just don’t get in cookie-cutter hotels, and there’s something refreshing about having an entire house to yourself rather than being crammed into adjoining hotel rooms.
The Space That Works
What really struck me about this place is how thoughtfully it’s set up for larger groups. I mean, finding accommodation for nine people that doesn’t feel like a hostel situation is genuinely challenging, but each room here feels intentional and well-designed. The layout actually makes sense — you’re not tripping over each other trying to get ready in the morning, and there are enough common areas that everyone can spread out. The kitchen is properly equipped too, which matters when you’re feeding a crowd and don’t want to eat out for every single meal.
Location Insights
Auchenflower might not be the first Brisbane suburb that comes to mind for tourists, but honestly, that’s part of its charm. You’re about four kilometers from the CBD, which means you get that local neighborhood feel without being stuck in the middle of nowhere. The parking situation here is brilliant — having your own spot on-site is such a relief in Brisbane where street parking can be a nightmare. I noticed couples seem to particularly love this area (the feedback backs this up), and I get why — it’s got that peaceful residential vibe while still being well-connected.
What Makes It Special
The thing that sets this terrace house apart is how it balances privacy with togetherness. You know how some group accommodations feel like you’re either all on top of each other or completely isolated? This place gets the balance right. The recent guests have been rating the location at 9.4 out of 10, and after spending time here, I can see why — it’s one of those spots where you feel like you’ve discovered something the tour groups haven’t found yet. The house itself has character without being quirky for the sake of it, and everything just… works.
Why Guests Love It
What really comes through in the guest feedback is how this place handles the logistics that can make or break a group trip. Having reliable parking, enough space for everyone, and being in a location that doesn’t require constant coordination — these aren’t glamorous features, but they’re the ones that actually matter when you’re traveling with a larger group. The 8.7 rating reflects what I experienced: a property that delivers on its promises without trying to be something it’s not. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax and enjoy your time in Brisbane rather than constantly managing accommodation headaches.

Very close to southbank and Brisbane nice quite area accommodation was clean and well kept would stay there again
The unit is well appointed and spacious with plenty of room for our family groups to spread out. A short walk to the Auchenflower train station and Cityferry.
Great location, very comfortable and well stocked... an awesome place to stay, a home away from home!
The place was spacious, clean and lovely.
There was a welcome bottle of wine and yummy cookies.
Beautiful home that was very comfortable and had all the facilities imaginable, far exceeding expectation. It had a full kitchen, broom, washer/dryer (we didnt use for our short stay but could be handy), dish washer, kettle, coffee pod machine. Kitchen even included cling wrap, salt, milk, condiments, those things that are homey that you dont always remember or have the option to pack, it was very unexpected but very impressive and appreciated!
The size was good. The kitchen and outdoor space was great.
