What I really appreciated though was how quiet it stays despite being so central. Sure, you’ll hear the occasional CityCat horn (honestly, it’s kind of charming after a while), but it’s not like you’re dealing with Grey Street traffic noise all night. The building itself feels secure – proper keycard access, decent lift that doesn’t make you wonder if you’ll get stuck between floors. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too, though I did have to call ahead since there’s no traditional front desk situation.

The studio itself is… well, it’s a studio. Don’t expect miracles, but it’s clean and functional with everything you actually need. The kitchen setup is better than most hotel kitchenettes – I mean, you can actually cook a proper meal if you want to, not just reheat takeaway. The bed’s comfortable enough, though the pillows are a bit flat (I ended up using both). The train station’s maybe eight minutes on foot, and those red CityGlider buses run frequently if you’re heading to the CBD. I’d definitely stay here again, especially for the price point.
