Mary Suites Brisbane City
Mary Suites Brisbane City
You know what?
You know what? Mary Suites Brisbane City is one of those places that just makes sense when you’re exploring the CBD. I mean, it’s not trying to be something it’s not – it’s a solid 3-star spot that actually gets the basics right, which honestly can be harder to find than you’d think in Brisbane’s city center.
The location is what really sold me on this place. You’re literally in the thick of things without being right on top of the chaos of Queen Street Mall. I could walk to Eagle Street Pier for dinner in about eight minutes, and there’s this fantastic little coffee spot – Campos – just around the corner that the locals seem to know about. The suites themselves are… well, they’re proper suites, not just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner. There’s actually space to spread out your stuff, which is clutch when you’re doing that whole “living out of a suitcase” thing for more than a couple days. The kitchenette isn’t going to win any design awards, but it’s got everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Woolworths down the street instead of eating out every meal (your wallet will thank you – Brisbane CBD dining adds up fast).
What I appreciated most was how quiet it stayed at night, even being so central. The windows do a decent job keeping out the street noise, though if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack some earplugs just in case. The staff at check-in were genuinely helpful too – not just going through the motions, but actually giving useful tips about getting around. They told me about the free CityHopper ferry, which honestly became my favorite way to get to South Bank. The 7.2 rating feels about right – it’s not luxury, but it’s well-maintained and thoughtfully run. I stayed during that busy period right before Christmas, and while the city was absolutely packed, the hotel itself never felt chaotic or overwhelmed. There’s something to be said for a place that knows what it is and does it well, rather than trying to be everything to everyone.

What Our Guests Say
very dirty place LOCATION
What could be improved: the whole building smells so bad - reception area, lift the corridor
The noise from building construction right next the bedroom was absolutely unbearable as they worked 24/7
Found used food containers under the couch -
very dirty inside the dryer
Exceptional Fast and eaay. Friendly customer services
What could be improved: None.
Extremely disappointing. Impossible to sleep with the construction next door. Room was ok Position was ok
What could be improved: Construction next door went ALL DAY & ALL NIGHT, no notification of this when I booked. Also I wasn't told this was an AIR BNB, hence no service to the room.
Booking.com should inform that it is an AIR BNB as that is a totally different expectation from a hotel booking.
Everything was amazing , we loved it and we wish to stay again Living room & master bedroom
What could be improved: Shower tab
Comfortable and clean apartment, plus convenient location with bonus parking. Perfect for small getaway and families. Neat and smelled amazing.
What could be improved: There was constant drilling outside but that was due to construction not the apartment itself.
Stay was fine. Was a quick trip Location
What could be improved: 2nd bedroom was a cupboard. Thankfully only stayed one night
Good stay for work but sleep was hard. Comfortable enough unit which had good supply of kitchen items and comfortable bed.
What could be improved: On top of the cross river rail construction which was noisy 24hrs meant that I had broken sleep all night. Although the TV had hundreds of overseas internet channels none were watchable due to bad content and although the local Digital TV channels were on the selector none would get a signal so I could not watch any TV.
Very poor What could be improved: I had asked about late check-in prior to the booking. I was bringing my 11 year old son with me. I was told that was allowed. At 12.30 am, I was dragging a tired and scared little boy around the CBD looking for a room. I'm $263.00 out of pocket and will proceed with action through QCAT next week to recover. My biggest fear was realised, unbelievable.
Superb Location to the botanical Gardens, casino, ferry terminals, restaurants and shopping.
What could be improved: Construction site next door, worked day and night. Important city government infrastructure though.
Perfect spot for city trip Right in the city, but easily accessible with car parking too! Walk to the mall, directly over to Southbank or even over to Kangaroo Cliffs. Very tastefully presented unit
What could be improved: Smell when coming out of the elevator (thank you making the unit smell amazing- no issue with unit, just the common areas of the apartment building had an unusual odour)
