Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to 19 Hope Street, I wasn’t expecting much from what’s basically a residential apartment building. But you know what? This place completely surprised me, and I mean that in the best way possible. The moment you walk into this two-bedroom setup, those city views just hit you. We’re talking proper Brisbane skyline here, not some sad glimpse of a parking lot. The windows are massive, and honestly, I found myself just standing there with my morning coffee more times than I care to admit.
The location is what really gets me though – South Brisbane isn’t touristy in that overwhelming way, but you’re literally a quick walk to the Cultural Centre and the river. I actually discovered this great little coffee spot on Grey Street that I never would’ve found if I’d stayed in the CBD. The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home, not a sterile hotel room. Sure, it’s a 3-star place so don’t expect marble everything, but the beds are comfortable (I’m picky about this stuff), and there’s proper space to spread out your things. The kitchen actually works too – I made pasta one night and didn’t want to throw anything out the window, which is more than I can say for most apartment kitchens.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. South Brisbane has this weird thing where it feels urban during the day but settles down beautifully after dark. You’ll hear the occasional train – the rail line isn’t far – but it’s more of a gentle rumble than anything disruptive. Parking was straightforward too, though I’d recommend asking about it when you book because Brisbane parking can be… well, let’s just say it’s not always obvious. The 8.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s not perfect (the bathroom could use some updating, and the Wi-Fi had its moody moments), but it delivers on what matters. You get space, you get views, and you get to feel like you’re actually staying in Brisbane rather than some anonymous hotel bubble. For the price point, especially if you’re traveling with someone and want separate bedrooms, this place just works.

Recommend & would stay again Good view of the city lights, tidy and comfortable.
Modern apartment in a great location This apartment was in such a good location and easy walking distance to the gallery, theatre, myseum, coffee shop, restaurants, Southbank and the city. We walked everywhere except for a couple of activities that were further away but it is also very close and easy easy access to the hwy and tollways that gets you quickly all over Brisbane. It was about 35 mins to Redcliffe in peak hour and 20 mins to the airport which made getting here and there so easy. The apartment was clean and modern but also relaxed and comfortable for a family of four. There was good heating and cooling, great kitchen to be able to eat in, comfortable beds and a good view of the city scape and the casino from the balcony. The pool was great for laps or for kids to have a splash and we enjoyed being able to sauna and spa as well. There was parking available with the apartment which was great as we had a hire car. Everything was easy to understand and use to check in and out and the communication with the management was excellent and friendly. We enjoyed Brisbane because staying here made it so easy. Thanks.
What could be improved: There wasn't anything we could fault at this accommodation, the apartment was great as was the building. The lifts, foyer and pool/gym areas were so clean and well maintained, everywhere felt safe and easy to use. We could have benefitted from pool towels as a single bath towel each didn't manage to stay dry for showering after the pool. This wasn't a major issue for us as we made use of the washer and dryer in the apartment which was additionally handy when travelling with kids.
Perfect family stay in a great location Loved that the second bedroom was set up for kids. We travel up from Melbourne often and bring toys and books with us. The play kitchen, toys, book corner and bunk beds with kids sheets were a huge hit with our 3 year old and meant we could pack the slightest bit lighter for this stay. We also loved that there was block out curtains and blinds. So many apartments in Brisbane have light pouring into the gaps at sunrise but we all slept soundly until we were ready in this apartment.
What could be improved: Our only complaint would be the lack of cooking items. There were a couple fry pans but only one tiny pot where for a family of 4 we could have used a large pot for making a bigger batch of meal. In saying that for this stay it wasn't a deal breaker.
Very good Location to Southbank and Suncorp stadium was great
What could be improved: Having to collect the key from another location without a car and with a lot of luggage. Would have been worse if it was raining
Comfortable. Great location. Comfy beds. Some toys and books for young kids were in the apartment. There was tea and coffee provided, which is a nice touch. Pool, spa and sauna were amazing!!!!
What could be improved: Lock box situation was a bit tricky, but as long as you're paying attention and follow instructions it's fine. Allow extra time for key collection and on site parking if using.
Comfortable and close to the city. The kids toys and books were an unexpected treat to find! Owners send fantastic detailed instructions
Very comfortable & clean Clean, good amenities, nice city view, I was able to use the washing machine & dryer as there was washing liquid available. Aircon in main area & main bedroom was nice & cool on very warm days & nights.
What could be improved: Location was fairly good. Need good walking shoes.
Parking was available in underground basement.
Raised floor into the bathroom needs a small strip to prevent stubbing - there is no fan or aircon vent in 2nd small bedroom - which was a bit stuffy on warm Brisbane nights - no coffee or milk - but there were tea bags. Good Blinds & curtains for privacy.
Overall it was a great apartment ,hosts were helpful and great location to Southbank. Great location.Very clean and host were very helpful.
What could be improved: There was a problem with the key but it did get sorted. The front desk staff were not at all helpful and quite rude as we were in a private apartment. No mainstream tv ,only Netflix YouTube available .
Good The apartment was lovely.
What could be improved: The area did not feel safe to walk around especially after dark.
The pool was not exposed to the sun almost indoor.
