The moment I walked into this apartment on Lambert Street, it felt like someone actually lives here – and I mean that in the best possible way. It’s not one of those sterile hotel setups where everything’s beige and bolted down. The living area’s got this comfortable, lived-in vibe with proper couches you can actually sink into, and the kitchen – honestly, it’s better equipped than my own place back home. I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because, well, why wouldn’t you when you’ve got a decent stovetop and real coffee mugs instead of those tiny hotel cups?
The location’s pretty brilliant if you ask me. Lambert Street’s this quiet residential stretch, so you’re not dealing with the party crowd stumbling past your window at 2 AM, but you’re maybe a ten-minute walk to the ferry terminal at Kangaroo Point. That ferry ride across to the city center – it’s actually one of those little Brisbane experiences that makes you feel like you’re getting the local treatment rather than just passing through. And here’s something the photos don’t really show you: the apartment’s positioned so you catch these glimpses of the river between the buildings, especially from the main bedroom window. It’s not a full river view (this isn’t a $400-a-night place, after all), but those little peeks of water make mornings feel special. The two bedrooms are genuinely spacious – I mean, you can actually walk around the beds without doing that sideways shuffle thing. Air conditioning works properly too, which you’ll appreciate if you’re visiting during Brisbane’s summer months when it gets properly sticky.
What really sealed the deal for me was the parking situation. There’s a dedicated spot, which might sound boring but trust me, if you’ve ever circled Kangaroo Point looking for street parking on a Friday night, you’ll understand why this matters. The building’s well-maintained without being flashy – clean hallways, decent lift, the kind of place where you feel comfortable coming and going at odd hours. The host was pretty responsive too; I had a question about the washing machine (which, by the way, is a proper full-size unit, not one of those compact things that takes three cycles to dry a t-shirt) and got a helpful response within the hour. Look, it’s not going to wow you with fancy amenities or concierge service, but sometimes you just want a comfortable base where you can spread out, cook a meal, and feel like you’re living in Brisbane rather than just visiting it. For a 4-star setup, it punches above its weight – that 9.2 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here.

Great communication from the host, the apartment was exceptionally clean. A very pleasant stay, thank you. The apartment was spotlessly clean when we arrived. We appreciated the little touches such as milk in the fridge, coffee pods, hot chocolate sachets for my daughter and a selection of teabags. The location was great too.
What could be improved: There didn’t seem to be hot water in the kitchen tap which made hand washing of dishes difficult. There is currently construction across the road which started up very early and was loud. Aside from this there was nothing to not like.

Glorious river views Great location and views were amazing from the apartment. It was so easy to get the keys and instructions were good from owners
What could be improved: We were disappointed that the roof top area and pool was closed for maintenance. The basement was tight but okay.
Loved the apartment and the location. The location was fantastic and the views were amazing. The hosts were great to deal with and the instructions to get into the apartment were easy to follow. We would stay there again if the opportunity arose.

What could be improved: Not much to not like - a very pleasant stay
The perfect weekend getaway. The view was incredible, hosts ensured it was a welcoming and cosy atmosphere and the area was quiet but close enough to the city. Shower pressure was also incredible.
