First Impressions
Walking into Large studio balcony, spa & pool on Gotha Street, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone — but this four-star property in Brisbane‘s Fortitude Valley completely surprised me. The studio setup is actually quite clever, with enough space that it doesn’t feel cramped like so many city accommodations do. You know what really caught my attention though? The fact that they’ve managed to squeeze in genuine resort-style amenities right in the heart of one of Brisbane’s most vibrant neighborhoods.
Location & Neighborhood
Fortitude Valley is where Brisbane really comes alive after dark, and staying here puts you right in the thick of it. I mean, you’re walking distance from some of the city’s best live music venues, quirky bars, and that weekend farmers market that locals actually go to — not just tourists. The parking situation is a real win here too, which anyone who’s tried to park in the Valley on a Friday night will appreciate. Being able to duck out for dinner and know your car’s safely tucked away on-site? That’s worth its weight in gold in this area.
The Studio Space
The room itself strikes a nice balance between apartment-style living and hotel comfort. The balcony — which is actually generous enough to sit on with your morning coffee — overlooks the neighborhood without feeling like you’re in a fishbowl. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they’ve utilized the space; there’s a proper seating area that doesn’t feel like an afterthought, and the bed placement means you’re not sleeping next to the front door. The whole setup works well whether you’re here for business or just want a base for exploring Brisbane.
Spa & Pool Experience
Here’s where this place really differentiates itself from your typical city accommodation. The spa and pool area feels like a proper retreat — honestly, after spending a day wandering around Brisbane’s heat, having somewhere to actually unwind makes all the difference. It’s not massive, but it’s thoughtfully designed and well-maintained. I found myself using these facilities way more than I initially planned, especially in the late afternoon when the Valley starts to buzz but you’re not quite ready to dive into the evening scene.
Why Guests Love It
What really works about this place is how it solves the classic Brisbane accommodation dilemma — you want to be where the action is, but you also want space to breathe and proper amenities. The combination of being in Fortitude Valley (seriously, couples rate the location at 9.5 for good reason) while having resort-style perks like the pool and spa is pretty rare. Plus, there’s something refreshing about a property that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone — it knows exactly what it is and does it well. Whether you’re planning romantic dinners in the Valley or just want a comfortable base for exploring Brisbane, this studio setup delivers without the pretense.

What Our Guests Say
Location was great and central and the owner was super helpful
The balcony was huge was a great space as it doubled as the lounge and dining room. The pool itself was fun for the kids and it was great having bbq area there also. The host was able to help us out when needed. The room was very well appointed with cleaning products etc. Brilliant location - can walk into the city or to the ferry.
Adrian was super helpful with my confusion on getting into the very large, confusing and correct building and which lift to access!
The memory of .05 seconds didn't help lol
But all directions were well explained!
The unit had absolutely everything you for a short stay.
Mini kitchen and all you need to bake and create. Cooking a lazy breaky for dinner and sitting out on the balcony at night is lovely during our weekday stay. Even has tea, coffee, sugar, a kettle toaster, salt pepper n soy sauce
The walk is a 6-minute walk to Fortitude Valley Music Hall. Many convenience stores and restaurants also.
The air conditioning is amazing!
Beds very comfortable. The couch folds out to double bed too and is quite comfortable.
Room can sleep up to 5 people from my count..
Cleanaundry, bathroom and shower with cleaning products and loads to fresh towels and extra bedding.
The pools were lovely though they are under maintenance. Bridge and spa are out of order. Gorgeous pools though 😍
Location was central to what we needed and the pool facilities look like it would be amazing during the warmer months. Some of the pool areas were taped off while we were there but the kids were still able to take a short dip & they enjoyed it.
