Look, I’ll be straight with you about the Infinity Tower Brisbane City – it’s one of those places that surprised me in a good way, even though it’s not trying to be fancy. When I first walked up to this 3-star spot in the CBD, I honestly wasn’t expecting much (the name sounds way more glamorous than it actually is), but you know what? Sometimes that works in a hotel’s favor.
The thing about staying here is that you’re genuinely in the thick of everything without paying those ridiculous prices you’ll find at the flashier places along the river. I mean, you can walk to Queen Street Mall in about five minutes, and if you’re the type who likes to explore on foot, you’ll appreciate that Eagle Street Pier and all those waterfront restaurants are just a decent stroll away. The building itself is pretty standard high-rise stuff – nothing Instagram-worthy, but the elevators are quick and the lobby doesn’t smell like that weird cleaning chemical some hotels seem to love. Actually, what impressed me most was how quiet my room was considering we’re talking about the CBD here. I was expecting traffic noise and maybe some late-night street activity, but honestly, once you’re up a few floors, it’s surprisingly peaceful.
The rooms are… well, they’re functional, and I don’t mean that in a bad way. Everything works, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and there’s actually decent water pressure in the shower (trust me, this matters more than you think when you’re dealing with Brisbane’s humidity). The staff genuinely seemed to care about helping out – not in that overly rehearsed way some places do, but like actual people who want your stay to go smoothly. Parking can be a bit of a headache in this part of town, but they’ve got options worked out, and the front desk folks know all the tricks for getting around the city without a car. That 7.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s solid, dependable, and honestly pretty good value for being right in the heart of Brisbane. If you’re the type who spends most of your time out exploring anyway and just wants a clean, comfortable place to crash that won’t drain your travel budget, this place does the job really well.
