I mean, you’re far enough from the main Chermside shopping chaos that you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of traffic, but close enough that grabbing groceries or hitting up Westfield is maybe a five-minute drive. The street itself is one of those quiet residential ones where people actually walk their dogs and wave at strangers – very Brisbane suburban in the best way. Parking’s dead easy too, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re dealing with luggage and trying to figure out where you’re allowed to leave your car. There’s this little café about two blocks down that does proper coffee (locals know it, tourists don’t), and the bus route along Rode Road connects you to the city pretty seamlessly if you don’t want to drive.

The house itself just works, you know?
