You know what caught me off guard about Hampton Court Apartments?

You know what caught me off guard about Hampton Court Apartments? It’s actually tucked away on this busy stretch of Sandgate Road, but once you’re inside, the traffic noise just sort of… disappears. I mean, Clayfield isn’t exactly where most tourists end up, but honestly, that’s part of what makes this place work so well.

The apartments themselves feel properly lived-in – and I don’t mean that in a bad way. These aren’t those sterile hotel rooms where you’re afraid to touch anything. The kitchens are actually functional (I’m talking full-sized fridges and decent counter space), which matters when you’re staying more than a couple nights. The whole setup reminded me of borrowing a friend’s place, except everything’s cleaner and the Wi-Fi actually works. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets after about 9 PM – you’d never guess you’re practically on top of a main road. The balconies face different directions, so if you’re picky about morning sun or afternoon shade, definitely mention it when you book.

Location-wise, you’re about a ten-minute walk to Clayfield train station, which honestly makes getting into the city center easier than staying in some of the “central” hotels where you’re fighting crowds and paying through the nose for parking. There’s a decent coffee place called Beans & Grind just down the road that opens early – the kind of spot where locals actually line up, which is always a good sign. If you’re driving, parking here is straightforward, unlike some Brisbane accommodations where you’re circling blocks or paying $30 a night for a space the size of a postage stamp. The Eagle Junction shopping area is close enough to walk when you need groceries or forgot to pack something essential. One thing though – the check-in process can be a bit slow if you arrive during their shift change around 3 PM, but the staff genuinely seem to care about getting things right rather than just rushing you through.

It was a great stay at this apartment!
Very gentle owners and clean room :)))
The room I stayed at was super comfortable and big enough for 2 or 3 people. Could be 4 as well.
And the neighbors were really quiet at night.

I loved their huge tv, clean beds and all the amenities!

Was a nice location, not too noisy. Free off street parking.
We were on the 3rd floor, had a nice view from the balcony.
The pool was great.
Roomy apartment, so at the end of a busy day, we all had our own space.
The kitchen and laundry facilities were handy to have.
