Great Value CBD 2 Beds Apt Free Carpark Pool and Gym

Look, I'll be straight with you about this place - the Great Value CBD 2 Beds Apt (yeah, that's actually the full name) is one of those no-nonsense apartment hotels that does exactly what it says on the tin.

Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place – the Great Value CBD 2 Beds Apt (yeah, that’s actually the full name) is one of those no-nonsense apartment hotels that does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s tucked inside Festival Towers on Albert Street, which honestly puts you right in the thick of Brisbane’s CBD without the crazy price tag you’d expect. I mean, you’re literally walking distance from Queen Street Mall, and the Eagle Street Pier is just a few blocks down if you want to grab dinner with a river view.

The apartment itself is pretty solid for what you’re paying – two proper bedrooms, which is rare to find in the city center, and they’ve actually got a decent-sized living area where you can spread out. The kitchen’s functional enough if you want to cook (there’s a Woolies about five minutes away), though honestly, with South Bank just across the river, you might find yourself eating out more than planned. What really sold me on this place was the free parking – and I cannot stress this enough – finding free parking in Brisbane CBD is like finding a unicorn. Most hotels charge you $30+ per night just to leave your car somewhere, so this alone probably saves you a decent chunk of change. The pool and gym are nothing fancy, but they’re clean and do the job, especially if you’re staying for more than a few nights.

You know what I really appreciated? The location puts you close enough to the Botanic Gardens that you can actually walk there for a morning jog without feeling like you’re trekking across the city. And if you’re here during festival season – which, let’s be honest, is pretty much year-round in Brisbane – you’re perfectly positioned for everything happening in South Bank and the CBD. The apartment can get a bit noisy on weekends (Albert Street isn’t exactly quiet), but that’s city living for you. The 7.3 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow you away with luxury touches, but it ticks all the practical boxes without any major complaints. For families or groups who want space to breathe and don’t need someone making their bed every day, this place actually makes a lot of sense. Plus, there’s something refreshing about having your own space instead of being crammed into a hotel room, especially if you’re staying for work or an extended visit.

We enjoyed our stay in Brisbane and having a centrally located apartment meant we could walk to everything we wanted to The location was fantastic and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the on site parking space was very convenient. The views of the city were great.

CRAP What could be improved: For starters wasn't given the name to the lock box the poor cashier and I was going through the boxes until I had to call the property manager to ask for the name of the lock box. We arrived to our apartment at 10pm to find out that the power had been disconnected at 1pm that day so we had no power until around midday the next day. In the morning we had to sit on the floor of the corridor next to a powerpoint and take turns charging our devices. I waited for the power people to come and reconnect the power whilst my wife and daughter went to the wedding that I was meant to be at as well this absolutely ruined the whole trip to Brisbane for us as a family. We will never stay there again and I'm still waiting to be compensated for the greef caused by this!!! I will be taking this matter further if needed because I was told that it has been passed on the complaints' department Still haven't heard anything from them either. Renter Beware !!!!
