You know what struck me first about Frisco Apartments?
You know what struck me first about Frisco Apartments? It’s one of those places that feels way more spacious than you’d expect in Spring Hill. Walking up from Turbot Street – and honestly, the Bowen Street entrance is a bit tucked away, so don’t feel bad if you circle the block once – you get this sense that you’re stepping into something that actually gets Brisbane living right.
The thing about Spring Hill is that it’s become this weird sweet spot where you’re close enough to the CBD that you can walk to work (well, if you don’t mind a decent hill), but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the Queen Street Mall chaos every time you step outside. From Frisco, you’re literally a five-minute walk to Central Station, which I mean, that’s gold if you’re planning day trips or airport runs. The apartments themselves feel properly lived-in rather than hotel-sterile – there’s actual kitchen space where you can cook real meals, not just heat up instant noodles. The 4-star rating feels about right; it’s not trying to be the Sofitel, but everything works and the Wi-Fi doesn’t drop out every ten minutes like some places I could mention.
What really won me over was the practical stuff that matters when you’re actually staying somewhere longer than a weekend. The laundry facilities are decent (and not coin-operated, thank god), there’s proper parking that doesn’t cost a fortune, and the noise levels are surprisingly manageable considering you’re basically in the inner city. Spring Hill gets a bit of foot traffic at night – it’s not rowdy, more like people heading home from dinner – but the street positioning means you’re not getting the full brunt of it. The 7.6 rating makes sense when you factor in that this isn’t trying to be a luxury experience; it’s trying to be a place where you can actually live for a week or a month without feeling like you’re camping out in a hotel room. The staff genuinely seem to know the area too, which is refreshing – they’ll point you toward the good coffee on Boundary Street rather than just handing you a generic tourist map. If you’re planning to explore Brisbane properly and want somewhere that feels like a base rather than just a bed, Frisco gets the balance right between comfort and location without breaking the bank.

What Our Guests Say
We were fortunate and received an upgrade and had a lovely balcony with a view with a table and chairs where we enjoyed our meals. The location was excellent as we were able to walk to South Bank where the gallery, museum and theatre are located. Also located there is the Brisbane sign, The Wheel of Brisbane and Streets Beach where we had a swim and a relaxing couple of hours, an area we highly recommend. The Apartment was well appointed with all appliances, small dishwasher and in house washing machine and tumble dryer. It has complimentary assigned underground parking and complementary Netflix on a widescreen TV, large size refrigerator, oven and cook top and microwave, kettle and toaster. I would highly recommend the Frisco Apartments.
Spectacular views and very accommodating staff . Made our trip with kids more enjoyable by being able to check in a day earlier than planned and very late.
The dryer was a bonus!
The apartment was a nice walk to the CBD, St Andrew's private hospital, supermarket and everything else I needed. The off-street parking was very handy too. Reception has loan umbrellas!
Got a free upgrade, cheers

Staff Friendly people
The location was very convenient for us. It's close to nearby shops and a 15 minute walk from the mall. The facility had a pool and a mini gym which was a bonus. Our Internet got cut off in the middle of the night but was easily and quickly addressed after reporting it to the staff who were very friendly and attentive to the situation. Thank you for your generosity and kind hospitality!
It had every thing I wanted, close to supermarket, train, and city.
