The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish friend let you crash at their place while they’re out of town. There’s this wine selection that’s clearly been curated by someone who actually knows Brisbane’s wine scene (not just random bottles from the bottle shop), and the WiFi is genuinely fast – I’m talking reliable video call fast, which honestly surprised me for a 3-star place. The kitchen setup is what really won me over though. You’ve got proper equipment, not those sad hotel kitchenettes with one bent fork and a microwave from 2003. I actually cooked dinner a couple nights because the local IGA on Main Street stocks better produce than half the restaurants in the city center.

Parking can be a bit tricky on weekends – street parking fills up when people come for the riverside walks – but during the week it’s no problem at all. I stayed here during a particularly hot February, and the air conditioning kept up just fine, plus there’s decent cross-ventilation if you prefer fresh air over the artificial stuff. The only minor thing that bugged me was the shower pressure – it’s adequate but not amazing, and the hot water takes a minute to get going in the mornings. But honestly, for a 9.2 rating and this location, I’d stay again without hesitation.
