You know what struck me first about this place?
You know what struck me first about this place? The fact that it’s actually called “Prime Location City View Meriton Soleil Suite” – which sounds like someone just mashed together every hotel marketing buzzword they could think of. But honestly, once you get past the ridiculous name, this three-star spot on Adelaide Street delivers pretty much what it promises.
The location really is solid – I mean, you’re right in the thick of the CBD, and Queen Street Mall is literally a two-minute walk away. The suite setup is what makes this place interesting though. It’s not just a regular hotel room; you get a proper apartment-style space with a kitchen that’s actually usable (not one of those sad mini-fridges with a microwave situation). The city views are legit from the higher floors – you can see out toward the river and catch glimpses of the Story Bridge if you crane your neck a bit. The building itself is one of those modern glass towers that Brisbane’s full of, so it feels pretty contemporary even if it’s not luxury-level fancy.
What I appreciated most was how quiet it gets at night, which is honestly surprising given you’re smack in the middle of everything. Adelaide Street can get a bit busy during the day – there’s always construction happening somewhere nearby because, well, it’s Brisbane – but the rooms are well-insulated. The elevators are decent (important when you’re on the 20th floor), and the building feels secure, which matters when you’re staying in the city center. Parking’s going to cost you extra, but that’s true everywhere around here, and honestly, you probably won’t need a car much since Central Station is just a few blocks away. The staff at check-in were pretty straightforward – no over-the-top hospitality theater, just efficient and helpful when I had questions about the area. For what it is, an 8 out of 10 rating makes sense. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s clean, functional, and you’re paying for that location convenience without the premium hotel markup. If you’re someone who actually wants to explore Brisbane rather than just hang out in your room, this works really well as a base.

What Our Guests Say
Great stay Clean and comfortable
What could be improved: Key collection instructions were relatively difficult to access in Canva and should have been emailed instead
Pleasant -The view was amazing
- Close to city center.
- Was nice to sit on the couch and have some dinner while enjoying the view.
What could be improved: The apartment had stains on the carpet and couch and there were fingerprints all on the window when we arrived. There was a mirror that must have fallen and it was just sitting in the loungeroom.
Host is extremely accommodating great communication and location Host was extremely accomodating great location and facilities
Adventures await for those with high expectations Size, location, pool and spa. We were aloud to bring our staffy pup Mr blue who also enjoyed his holiday!
What could be improved: Bed was uncomfortable and outdated. Only one tv and one aircon remote
Very good
Peaceful I like the view. The apartment was clean and very spacious even though I was alone it felt homely and comfortable!
Thank you
What could be improved: Everything was great
Do not stay here until it is fixed Great location
What could be improved: There is a lot wrong with this property. Living room window is stuck open so you get street noise. The television gets no signal. The living room floor lamp does not work. Bathroom plug keeps blocking the drain. There are no drinking glasses, only wine glasses. The coffee cup is cracked. The bed pillows are so soft that they aren't really pillows. Overall this place is tired and neglected.
Nice location, tidy apartment, needs some items attended too. Instructions/directions to collect keys were excellent. Great location if you are wanting to be down the Story Bridge end of the CBD. Tidy one bedroom apartment, wi-fi worked well. Asked for 12pm check-out, approved no problem.
What could be improved: Told by host "You will be staying on Level 17. You will be able to see Brisbane River and the bridge.", this was not the case as the apartment faces the mountains as it is on the opposite side of the building to the Story Bridge and river. TV in the apartment did not have signal for free to air TV, couldn't find that it was connected with an aerial cable, so that is probably the reason. Sent a message to the host, no reply. Window in the lounge room could not be fully closed (open on arrival), so had traffic noise coming in the whole stay. Hair dryer has an international plug, so couldn't use it in Australian power point.
Comfortable and convenient CBD bolt-hole close to sights, nightlife and other attractions Great location within easy walking distance of both the CBD and Fortitude Valley. Right across from Story Bridge and the river walk - perfect for a morning jog. Although not on a super-high floor, the view from the apartment to the northwest across Spring Hill and Victoria Park is very nice. The check-in process was simple, with the key collected from a lockbox at a nearby late-night convenience store.
What could be improved: The furniture, fitout and general styling is a little on the cheap side compared to a typical hotel at a similar price point, but it's still good value for a landmark tower in a central location. Would be better value for longer stays that spread the cleaning fee over more days.
Clean but disappointed with amenities Location
What could be improved: Sofa was rock solid and very uncomfortable, with no proper backing, only 2 small throw cushions. (Not sure if is it a proper sofa as you can feel the wood framing when sitting down)
Tv had not service/channels, and was too slow to use for YouTube, no Netflix or any streaming.
Floor lamp had no bulb.
Value for money was poor compared with the available hotel options for the same price that has comfortable furniture and working amenities.
