CBD Studio Apartment

Look, I'll be straight with you about this place on Charlotte Street – it's one of those studio apartments that actually gets the CBD living thing right, which honestly surprised me.

Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place on Charlotte Street – it’s one of those studio apartments that actually gets the CBD living thing right, which honestly surprised me. You know how some of these converted buildings feel like they’re trying too hard? Well, this one doesn’t have that problem. The moment you step inside, it’s clear someone actually thought about how people live, not just how to cram the most beds into a space.

The location is pretty sweet, I mean, you’re right in the thick of things without being on one of those crazy busy streets that never sleep. Charlotte Street has this nice rhythm to it – bustling during the day with all the office workers, but it actually quiets down in the evenings. I was worried about noise (learned that lesson the hard way in Sydney once), but honestly, it wasn’t bad at all. The apartment itself has this clean, unfussy vibe that works. The kitchenette is small but functional – you can actually cook a proper meal if you want to, though with places like Gauge and Gerard’s Bistro literally around the corner, you might not bother. The bed’s comfortable enough, and there’s decent storage space, which is something you don’t always get in these studio setups.

What I really appreciated was how walkable everything is from here. Queen Street Mall is maybe a seven-minute walk, which is perfect because you can duck over for whatever you need without it being a whole expedition. The river’s close too – I found myself wandering down to the Botanic Gardens more mornings than I expected, just because it felt natural from this spot. And if you’re flying out, the airport train from Central is pretty straightforward, though honestly, an Uber might be worth it depending on your luggage situation. The building itself seems well-maintained – nothing fancy, but the lifts work and the hallways don’t have that weird hotel carpet smell some places get. Check-in was smooth, though I did have to coordinate a bit for the key pickup since it’s not like a traditional hotel front desk situation. Overall, it’s solid for the price point and location. Not luxury by any stretch, but if you want a proper base in the CBD without paying through the nose, this actually delivers on what it promises.

Great price- it just needs a few more amenities. Very comfortable bed. Good location.

What could be improved: I missed three things in particular : a bath mat, an ironing board and a light over or next to the bed.

Great location in Brisbane CBD Nice location right in the centre Brisbane CBD. Very clean and comfortable. Good air conditioning and WiFi. On site communal pool and gym. Communication was very easy with the owner, easy self check in via the key card being in a key safe at a neighbouring store (clear instructions provided prior to arrival) small fridge, microwave. toaster and kettle. Clean bathroom with very hot showers and ample towels provided.

What could be improved: Not an actual kitchen in the apartment, kitchen utensils in a small cupboard in the corner which made it difficult to use them (apart from a couple of plates we didn’t use them)
Bedside lamps would be a nice addition and perhaps an ironing board.
No laundry facilities on site or nearby for those travelling for longer term (nearest is about 15-20 minutes away with public transport)

Siisti ja viihtyisä asunto Puhdas asunto, hyvä sijainti ja uima-allas/sauna osasto oli plussaa.

What could be improved: Toinen tuuletusikkuna ei ole äänitiivis. Yöllä kuului melua ulkoa. Vaatii huoltoa (ruuvit löysällä).
