I'll be honest – when I first walked into Brisbane Skytower, I wasn't expecting much from a 3-star place in the CBD.
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Brisbane Skytower, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place in the CBD. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come from managing your expectations just right. The lobby’s got this sort of retro-modern thing going on that actually works, and the staff behind the desk seemed genuinely happy to see me (which, let’s face it, doesn’t always happen in Brisbane’s city center).
What really won me over was the location – I mean, you’re literally in the thick of everything without the ridiculous price tag of those flashy 5-star towers. Queen Street Mall is maybe a 3-minute walk, and if you’re into the whole South Bank scene, you can easily stroll there along the river. The rooms are clean and functional – nothing fancy, but the beds are surprisingly comfortable and the air conditioning actually works properly (crucial for Brisbane summers, trust me). I stayed on the 8th floor and had a decent view of the city, though honestly, the real treat was watching the early morning river traffic from my window. The walls are a bit thin – you’ll hear your neighbors if they’re having a loud phone conversation, but it’s not terrible. One thing I appreciated was the parking situation; they’ve got spaces available and it’s not highway robbery like some places downtown.
Here’s what I think makes this place worth considering: it’s unpretentious but reliable. The housekeeping team clearly takes pride in their work, the elevator’s quick (small thing, but it matters when you’re running late), and there’s a 7-Eleven right across the street for those late-night snack runs. The shower pressure is actually decent – better than my last apartment, if I’m being honest. Check-in was smooth even though I arrived during the afternoon rush, and they held my bags without any fuss when I wanted to explore before my room was ready. It’s the kind of place where you get exactly what you pay for, maybe a little more. Perfect if you’re planning to spend most of your time out exploring Brisbane anyway and just need a solid base to crash at night.

What Our Guests Say
Family friendly, good location. Location was very good, very close to the shops.
What could be improved: There is no exhaust in the bathroom and the water was very slow at draining in the shower. Had to switch the shower off in between to let the water drain thoroughly .
