Brisbane Queens Wharf -Spectacular River Views – Sleeps 6
Brisbane Queens Wharf -Spectacular River Views – Sleeps 6
Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from another Brisbane CBD apartment listing, but this place on Margaret Street actually caught me off guard in the best way.
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from another Brisbane CBD apartment listing, but this place on Margaret Street actually caught me off guard in the best way. The moment you walk in, those river views hit you – and I mean, they’re not just throwing around the word “spectacular” for marketing fluff. You’re looking straight out at the Brisbane River with the Story Bridge doing its thing in the distance, especially gorgeous around sunset when the whole city starts lighting up.
The location is what really sells it though. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Queen Street Mall, which means you can grab groceries at Woolies or hit up all those restaurants without dealing with Brisbane’s, well, let’s call it “adventurous” public transport system. Eagle Street Pier is right there too – perfect for those Friday night drinks or when you want to impress visitors with the riverside dining scene. I mean, you’re so close to everything that parking almost becomes irrelevant (though there is secure parking if you need it, which in the CBD is honestly a godsend).
What surprised me most was how quiet it actually gets at night. You’d think being right in the thick of things would mean constant noise, but the double-glazed windows do their job well. The apartment itself sleeps six comfortably – not that cramped situation where someone’s stuck on a dodgy pull-out couch. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, which matters when you’re staying more than a couple nights and eating out every meal starts killing your budget. You know what’s nice? The little touches that show someone actually thought about what travelers need – decent wifi (actually fast enough for video calls), washing machine, even a proper coffee machine. The building’s got that modern feel without being sterile, and the lifts are quick enough that you’re not standing around forever with your luggage.
The 9-star rating makes sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not perfect – the air conditioning can be a bit temperamental, and like most CBD apartments, storage space is at a premium – but it delivers on what matters most. The river views never get old (seriously, I found myself just sitting there with morning coffee watching the CityCats cruise by), and being able to walk to South Bank, the casino, or catch a show at QPAC without planning your whole evening around transport is pretty sweet. Brisbane’s gotten so much better in the last few years, and staying right in the heart of it means you actually get to experience that instead of just passing through on your way to the Gold Coast.

What Our Guests Say
Surely the coolest building complex in central Brisbane. The whole building complex is stunning. Views were amazing. Location was great.
What could be improved: The business where you have to collect keys is tricky to access by vehicle (i.e. there is no easy places to stop for taxis etc). We didn't actually manage to access the gym or pool. Not sure if we weren't approaching if from the right point or the card didn't work.
Communication was great with Lauren. We enjoyed the view and it was easy to get around Brisbane city from there. Beautiful view and clean. Had everything we needed in the room.
What could be improved: Although there was enough beds for my family of 6 we found it was much too small for us. There was no onsite parking directly to the room. However, for the price we paid it was still worth it.
Exceptional
Very good Location was fantastic, great facilities near by, all within walking distance.
Great view from apartment.
What could be improved: We were family of 5 so a tight squeeze but manageable.
Only 1 toilet roll supplied & soap, shampoo were almost empty when we arrived so ran out on first night. Would have been good to have this full on arrival?
Amazing views of river and city
Exceptional The out look and location
What could be improved: Not winning at the casino.
Very comfortable and secure with exceptional veiws The apartment and the location
What could be improved: Having to pick up the key from another location (an ezy mart) isn't the best first impression
Pleasant Rooms lovely view amazing
What could be improved: Advertised with soa facilities but both spas close for maintenance. It's winter the spas are what people want and it wasn't advertised. It was also cheaper to book directly through hotel than booking.com
Booking.com needs to make sure that what is advertised reflect what's is actually available as this has now occured 2 times where rooms advertise spa facilities and they aren't available.
Great place to stay and the hotel and facilities are amazing. Great appartment and attention to detail from the hosts.
What could be improved: Only issue was with parking at the Queens Wharf car park. Didnt even stay 24 hours which should have been an $80 fee but on exit the charge came up as $140. After complaining to the operator it was reduced to $50 - so all good but annoying and not the hosts fault.
Exceptional Very clean. Great facility.
What could be improved: Parking is little inconvenient.
