You know what struck me first about this place?
You know what struck me first about this place? The fact that it’s tucked away on Linton Street but feels like you’ve discovered some secret Brisbane hideaway. I mean, Kangaroo Point isn’t exactly undiscovered territory, but this boho retreat sits in this sweet spot where you’re literally a stone’s throw from The Gabba – perfect if you’re catching a cricket match or concert – but it doesn’t feel touristy at all.
The views are honestly incredible, and I’m not just throwing that around. You’re perched up on the cliffs looking back across the river at the city skyline, and at night when all the lights come on, it’s pretty spectacular. During the day, you can watch the CityCats puttering along the Brisbane River below, and there’s something oddly relaxing about it. The place itself has this laid-back, artistic vibe that actually feels authentic rather than forced – think vintage furniture mixed with local artwork, plants everywhere, and these little bohemian touches that make you want to curl up with a book. The owners clearly put thought into making it feel like a real space where people live, not just pass through.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, despite being so close to everything. You’re maybe a fifteen-minute walk to South Bank if you want to wander around, or you can hop on the ferry at Holman Street terminal (which is practically next door) and be in the CBD in no time. But honestly, you might not want to leave – the place has this way of making you slow down. The kitchen’s well-stocked if you want to grab groceries at the Woolworths down on Main Street, and there’s decent street parking, though it can get a bit tight when there’s an event at The Gabba. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that corporate hotel rigmarole, just genuine people who seem to actually care about whether you have a good stay. The whole experience feels more like staying at a friend’s really cool apartment than a typical accommodation, which I suppose is exactly what they’re going for.

What Our Guests Say
A stay to watch the Btisbane Lions play and explore a different part of Brisbane. The apartment had a good layout and was very comfortable.
What could be improved: There was no reception. It was a bit difficilt to find the lockbox for the keys. We had the instructions sent to us but it still took some time to work it all out.
