The Summit Apartments – Spacious 9th floor apartment

You know what caught me off guard about The Summit Apartments?

You know what caught me off guard about The Summit Apartments? I was expecting just another generic serviced apartment, but this 9th floor unit on Leichhardt Street actually feels like someone’s really nice home that they happen to rent out. The space is genuinely spacious – I mean, you can spread out your stuff without tripping over your suitcase every five minutes, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights.

The location is pretty brilliant if you know Brisbane at all. Spring Hill might sound fancy, but it’s actually this sweet spot where you’re close enough to the CBD that you can walk to Queen Street in about fifteen minutes, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the weekend party crowds stumbling around at 2am. There’s this little cluster of cafes and bottle shops right around the corner – the kind of neighborhood spots where the barista starts recognizing you after day three. And here’s something most people don’t realize: you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Spring Hill train station, which connects you to everything without the hassle of driving in the city (parking around there is, well, let’s just say it’s not cheap).

What really sold me on this place was the morning light – being on the 9th floor means you actually get proper sunlight streaming through those big windows, not the sad filtered light you get in most city apartments. The kitchen is set up like someone actually cooks in it, with decent counter space and a full-sized fridge, which is clutch if you’re the type who likes to grab groceries from the IGA down the street rather than eating out every meal. The building itself is quiet during the week – you might hear some traffic from Leichhardt Street, but it’s more of a gentle hum than anything disruptive. Weekends can get a bit livelier since you’re close to some popular spots, but honestly, that just means the area has some life to it. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward hanging around a lobby waiting for someone to appear with your keys. That 9.1 rating makes sense when you factor in the space, the location, and the fact that everything just… works. It’s the kind of place where you can actually settle in and feel like you’re living in Brisbane for a bit, not just passing through.

Spring Hill apartment Very clean. Great bed. Good shower.

What could be improved: The floor was different levels. I kept tripping going in or out of the kitchen. Towels were clean but thin and scratchy.

Fabulous unit in a good position Fabulous 2 bedroom unit in an excellent position for an early hospital admission. Kitchen and bathroom seem to be newly renovated and were lovely. Lots of cafes and restaurants within an easy walk - as long as you can go down and uphill.

Nice one Great location

What could be improved: Very short stay time, check in at 3:00 pm and check out at 10:00 am sounds a bit too short. However we were accommodated for an early checkin which is really appreciated 😊

Fabulous stop over. Neat as a pin and very comfy! Thank you The property was so easy to get to and fabulously located.
Immaculately presented!
It was two bedrooms with two king size beds but it was only listed as a one bedroom apartment.

What could be improved: There is no air con in the 2nd room and it was a little toasty.
There is an unusual step from the entry hall and kitchen into the dining/lounge. But this could be easily addressed with a rubber stopper mat from Bunnings. I’ll send you a photo. The current mat is more dangerous than the step.
