You know what struck me first about Quattro on Astor? It’s tucked away on this quiet terrace in Spring Hill, but you’re actually only a ten-minute walk from the city center – which honestly feels like finding a secret spot that somehow everyone missed. The building itself has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream “look at me” like some of the flashier places down in the CBD, but there’s something refreshing about that approach.
The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully designed rather than trying too hard to be Instagram-worthy. Good lighting (thank god), decent-sized bathrooms, and – this might sound small but it matters – the air conditioning actually works quietly. I’ve stayed in too many places where you have to choose between being comfortable or getting any sleep. The staff genuinely seems to know the area well too, which is rarer than it should be. When I asked about getting to South Bank without dealing with Queen Street traffic, the guy at the front desk gave me this route through the botanical gardens that I never would have figured out on my own.
Spring Hill itself is one of those Brisbane neighborhoods that’s sort of having a moment – you’ve got excellent coffee spots within walking distance (Campos is right there if you’re into that), and you can actually stroll down to the Story Bridge without the usual tourist crowds. The area gets pretty quiet at night, which some people love and others might find too sleepy, but I appreciated being able to walk back from dinner in Fortitude Valley without the usual King Street chaos. Parking’s not terrible either, though I’d still recommend the hotel’s garage if you’re driving – street parking around there can be hit or miss, especially on weekends when everyone’s heading to the markets. The 8.2 rating feels about right to me; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Brisbane, but it nails the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. Clean, comfortable, well-located, and run by people who seem to care about what they’re doing.

What Our Guests Say
The apartment was great & in a good location for us, within walking distance to transport, shopping etc What could be improved: Unfortunately the lock on the door to the balcony was broken & could not be locked
The handle on the inside of the bathroom door was falling off & the window lock was broken as was the towel rail
The blind in the bedroom didn’t stop, it continued it unroll until it had totally unrolled onto the floor
Very comfy stay, was nice to unwind in the sauna & pool at the end of the day. Will be back! Great location, very central. Nice cafes along the street.

Very good Location great.
What could be improved: Linen smelled like bleach.
Very good Great location and good value for money
Great Great comfy bed !!!!
What could be improved: The windows were not frosted to the bathroom , and had no fly screens , you had to have the blinds all way down to have a shower even then the neighbouring building could kind of see in the window , other then that place was nice and bed was super comfy !!!
Well positioned close to city with all amenities required for a great stay. Good location close to city so could walk everywhere. The hotel was roomy and great for a family of four. Fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities and 2 bathrooms.
Was very comfortable.
What could be improved: Not much not too like.
