Punthill Spring Hill
Punthill Spring Hill
You know what struck me first about Punthill Spring Hill?
You know what struck me first about Punthill Spring Hill? It’s got this sort of understated confidence that’s refreshing after seeing so many Brisbane hotels trying too hard. The building on Astor Terrace doesn’t scream for attention – it’s just there, solid and purposeful, which honestly feels very Spring Hill. The neighbourhood itself is having this quiet renaissance, and this place seems to get that without making a big deal about it.
I mean, location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned between the CBD hustle and the relaxed vibe of Paddington. There’s something really satisfying about being able to walk downhill to the city (though that walk back up… well, let’s just say you’ll appreciate having a place to collapse afterward). The apartments here actually feel like apartments, not hotel rooms pretending to be something else – proper kitchens where you can cook without feeling like you’re performing surgery, and living spaces that don’t make you want to immediately escape to the lobby. The furnishings are modern but not aggressively trendy, if that makes sense. Like someone actually thought about what it would be like to live in these spaces for more than a night.
What really won me over was the attention to stuff that matters when you’re actually staying somewhere. The parking situation is sorted – and trust me, that’s not always a given in this part of Brisbane. The building stays surprisingly quiet despite being on a main street, though if you’re sensitive to traffic noise, maybe mention it when booking (the back-facing units are whisper-quiet). Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy speeches about amenities I’ll never use. The staff seem to actually know the area too, which is rarer than it should be. They pointed me toward this little coffee spot on Boundary Street that I never would have found otherwise, and honestly, that kind of local knowledge is worth its weight in gold. The whole setup feels like it’s designed for people who travel regularly but don’t need to be impressed by every shiny surface – it’s comfortable, functional, and just upscale enough without making you feel like you’re paying for a bunch of stuff you don’t need. Plus, Spring Hill itself is becoming one of those neighbourhoods where you can actually enjoy wandering around, discovering the odd gallery or wine bar tucked away. It’s not trying to be Fortitude Valley or the CBD – it’s just doing its own thing, and doing it well.

What Our Guests Say
lovely staff walking distance from shops huge bed and very modern and stylish and balcony was pretty
Comfortable Mattress and bed , pillow quality. Strong Ac. Kitchen had all required equipment's and gadgets.
Nice location and clean fresh property with a swimming pool which we did not use though many other guests did use it a lot. Friendly staff and reception personnel. All requests were well attended too. We could not have asked for a better place to stay for the 3 weeks we had at Brisbane. Overall very happy and satisfied with the property and our stay was quite comfortable.
Friendly staff on arrival and good value for money.
Have stayed here before rooms very comfortable.
Good value for money
Great location
Fantastic location, just a short walk from the city centre. The hotel itself was excellent, featuring a smart TV, a fully equipped kitchen and a fridge. Perfect for a comfortable and convenient stay!
The room was comfortable with everything you need, great location and easy access to lots of food and drink options. We were able to access the pool for a swim on a hot day. The hotel is a little tired but would stay again.
Very easy check in. Very clean and comfortable.
