Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Brisbane, and this apartment on Charlotte Street honestly surprised me. The king bed situation is legit comfortable, and there’s this separate study area that I didn’t think I’d use but ended up being perfect for spreading out maps and booking day trips without cluttering the main space.

What really won me over though is the location – you’re literally in the thick of everything without the chaos. Charlotte Street puts you a two-minute walk from Queen Street Mall (which, let’s be honest, you’ll end up at anyway), but you’re far enough from the pedestrian madness that you can actually sleep at night. I mean, Brisbane’s not exactly New York noise-wise, but still. The apartment feels like a proper retreat after walking around South Bank or catching a show at QPAC. Speaking of which, the study area has this decent desk setup where I actually got some work done – rare for me on vacation, but the space just invited productivity. There’s something about having a dedicated workspace that makes you feel less like you’re living out of a suitcase, you know?

Here’s what I really appreciated: the small stuff that shows someone thought this through. Good water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, and – this might sound weird – but the apartment doesn’t have that generic hotel smell. It just smells… clean and lived-in, if that makes sense. Parking was straightforward too, which in Brisbane CBD is basically a miracle. The building itself is well-maintained, modern but not sterile, and the check-in process was refreshingly simple. I’ve been in plenty of 4-star places that feel fancy but lack substance – this place has both the comfort level and the practical details sorted out. The 8.8 rating makes total sense when you stay here; it’s not trying to be the flashiest option in Brisbane, but it delivers on everything that actually matters when you’re exploring the city.
