I was expecting the usual city apartment noise, but honestly, once you’re inside, it feels more residential than you’d think. The building itself is nothing fancy from the outside, but that’s sort of the point – you’re not paying for marble lobbies here, you’re paying for two proper bedrooms right in the heart of everything.
The location is what really makes this work, though. You’re literally a three-minute walk to Queen Street Mall, which means you can grab groceries at Woolies or Coles without planning your whole day around it. I actually timed it – two minutes to the nearest coffee shop that isn’t terrible (there’s a decent one on the corner of Mary and Charlotte that locals seem to favor). The apartment itself feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I appreciate. The kitchen actually has proper cookware, not just the bare minimum you usually get in short-term rentals, and the fridge is full-sized. Small thing, but when you’re staying more than a couple nights, it matters. The bedrooms are genuinely separate spaces – I mean, you can actually close doors and have privacy, which isn’t always a given with these “2BR” places that are sometimes just creative room dividers.
What I really didn’t expect was how walkable everything is from here. The river’s about a seven-minute stroll, South Bank is maybe fifteen if you don’t mind the walk, and honestly, the public transport connections are solid if you’re planning day trips. Central Station is close enough that you can hear the occasional train, but it’s not intrusive – more like distant city white noise. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that complicated keypad situation some of these places have. The host seems to actually know the neighborhood – gave me specific recommendations for places that weren’t just the obvious tourist spots. I mean, the whole setup has that practical, no-nonsense vibe that makes you feel like you’re borrowing a friend’s place rather than staying somewhere corporate. For the price point in this part of Brisbane, it’s honestly hard to argue with – you’re getting space, location, and the kind of setup that works whether you’re here for business or just want a proper base to explore the city without the hotel markup.

Great location and amenities. Shower was awesome
L’hôtesse était très réactive pour répondre à nos questions et super gentille. L’emplacement est vraiment génial, à deux pas du mall et du jardin botanique. Dans l’immeuble d’à coté il y a un super centre de soin avec massage, soin, hammam, sauna du coup pour se faire un week end shopping détente c’est parfait !! L’appartement est très bien équipé il y a tout ce dont on a besoin et c’est très propre !
