City Boutique 2Bed 2Bath Parking

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to this place on Edmondstone Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name “City Boutique 2Bed 2Bath Parking” sounds like someone just mashed together a bunch of apartment listing keywords, but you know what? Sometimes the most straightforward approach works best. This is essentially a well-appointed apartment that happens to work perfectly as a hotel alternative, and after staying here a few times, I actually prefer it to most traditional hotels in Brisbane.

The location is really what makes this place shine, though it took me a while to appreciate it. South Brisbane isn’t where most tourists think to stay – everyone’s always gunning for the CBD or South Bank – but being right on Edmondstone Street puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk everywhere that matters, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the constant noise and chaos. I mean, you’re literally a ten-minute walk to the Cultural Centre, and the CityCat stop at South Bank is right there if you want to cruise up the river. The parking situation alone is worth its weight in gold – I’ve spent way too many mornings circling blocks in the city center looking for a spot that costs less than my daily coffee budget.

What I really appreciate about this setup is how it feels like you’re actually living in Brisbane for a few days rather than just passing through. The two bedrooms mean you can spread out properly (revolutionary concept, I know), and having two full bathrooms is a game-changer if you’re traveling with family or friends. No more awkward bathroom scheduling or stepping around someone’s toiletries. The kitchen is properly equipped too – not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation. I’ve actually cooked dinner here several times, which sounds boring but there’s something nice about grabbing fresh stuff from the South Bank markets and making your own meal after a long day of playing tourist. The whole place has this lived-in feel that’s comfortable without being fancy. It’s clean, the beds are decent, and the wifi actually works – honestly, what more do you need?

The 7.3 rating seems about right to me. It’s not going to blow you away with luxury touches or Instagram-worthy design, but it delivers on the basics really well. Sometimes the hot water takes a minute to kick in, and the walls aren’t super thick so you might hear your neighbors if they’re having a particularly enthusiastic conversation, but these are minor things. The check-in process is straightforward – they’ll text you the entry codes, which I actually prefer to having to coordinate with front desk staff. Just remember that this is more of a residential building than a hotel, so don’t expect concierge service or daily housekeeping. But for the price point and the amount of space you get, especially with that parking spot included, it’s honestly hard to beat. Perfect for anyone who wants to experience Brisbane like a local rather than a tourist.

Good Location

What could be improved: The initial check in wasn’t the greatest . The bathroom door didn’t have a door knob which when closed was locked in and unable to get out .
