Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first walked into this Brisbane CBD apartment, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in simple packages. The 2-Bed Brisbane City Pad sits right in the heart of things, and I mean really in the heart – you can actually hear the Queen Street Mall buzz from some of the windows, which is either energizing or slightly annoying depending on your tolerance for city sounds. The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home that they’ve decided to rent out, not some sterile hotel room. The kitchen has proper cooking gear (I’m talking real knives and a decent-sized fridge), and honestly, after eating out for three days straight, being able to make breakfast was a game-changer.
The pool area is where this place really shines, though. It’s nothing fancy – just a decent-sized pool tucked away from the street noise – but on those sticky Brisbane afternoons when the humidity hits you like a wall, it’s absolutely perfect. The gym is basic but functional; I mean, you’ve got your cardio machines and some free weights, which is more than most places this price point offer. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets in the evenings. You’d think being smack dab in the CBD would mean constant noise, but the building’s positioned in a way that blocks most of the traffic from George Street. The beds are comfortable enough (firm side of medium, if you’re picky about that sort of thing), and the air conditioning actually works well – crucial during those sweltering Queensland summers.
Here’s the thing about the location that really matters: you’re literally a five-minute walk from Central Station, which means you can easily hop on the train to the Gold Coast or explore the city without dealing with parking nightmares. Speaking of parking, there’s secure underground parking included, and trust me, that’s worth its weight in gold when you’re staying in the CBD. The South Bank is just across the river – an easy stroll over the Victoria Bridge – and if you’re into the foodie scene, Eagle Street Pier is practically next door. I spent most mornings grabbing coffee from this little place on Edward Street (the locals know it), then wandering through the Queen Street Mall before it got too crowded. The rating sits at a 7 out of 10, which feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. For families or groups who want space to spread out and don’t need fancy concierge services, this place actually makes a lot of sense.

Great location & view
Excellent Location to North Quay Brisbane Ferry Network, bus stops, restaurants, shopping (Queen Street Mall) and Star casino. 10-minute walk to Southbank (via Neville Bonner Bridge), Botanic Gardens and QUT.
