You know what struck me first about Apartments on Connor? The building actually looks like it belongs in the neighborhood – not one of those glass towers that screams “tourist accommodation.” It’s tucked right into Fortitude Valley’s fabric, and honestly, that’s half the charm. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that you’re staying somewhere locals might actually choose for themselves.

The apartments themselves are proper spacious – I mean, you can actually unpack your suitcase without playing furniture Tetris. The kitchens are surprisingly well-equipped (none of that single sad hotplate situation you sometimes get), and the living areas feel like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room. What really got me was the attention to small details – decent coffee pods, proper wine glasses, even a bottle opener that wasn’t falling apart. The kind of stuff that makes you think “okay, these people get it.” The beds are comfortable enough that you’ll actually sleep well, and the bathrooms have that satisfying water pressure that makes you wonder why your apartment at home can’t manage the same thing.

Location-wise, this place is honestly a goldmine if you know Fortitude Valley at all. You’re walking distance from James Street’s restaurant strip – and I’m talking a genuine five-minute stroll, not that “walking distance” nonsense hotels usually claim. The Fortitude Valley train station is close enough that you can easily pop into the city center, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the Friday night crowds stumbling past your windows. There’s a Woolworths literally around the corner, which sounds mundane until you realize how convenient it is for grabbing breakfast supplies or a bottle of wine. The street itself is pretty quiet during the day, though weekends can get a bit lively – nothing terrible, just the natural buzz of the Valley doing its thing.

What really sells this place, though, is how it feels like you’re living in Brisbane rather than just visiting. The staff actually know the area and can point you toward the good coffee spots (there’s this little place on Robertson Street that locals queue up for), and they’re not just rattling off tourist traps. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy presentations about amenities you’ll never use. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during peak times, but there are options within a block or two if you’re patient. The building’s got that solid feel of somewhere that’s been thoughtfully maintained, and with a 9.1 rating, it’s clear I’m not the only one who thinks they’ve got the balance right between comfort and authenticity.

The apartment was absolutely gorgeous! Stellar location and super clean! Check in and communication with the property manager was extremely smooth. Would totally stay here again!

Property photos were of the actual apartment not like a lot of other apartments we have stayed in. The location is close to most things in the city, it was very clean and tidy, the kitchen has everything that you would need to cook a meal, Coby left us bin bags dishwasher tablets and dishwasher liquid to clean up with ease, the washing machine also had soap supplied all the little things were there for an enjoyable stay.

The interaction with Coby Lee the property manager was top class. Coby Lee was very explicit in the instructions before we arrived, making check in super easy. After arriving we wanted a late check out which was handled very quickly with professionalism and without a drama by mobile phone. The apartments are very central a few blocks away from the mall in fortitude valley, many restaurants and bars. Public transport is available in McLachlan, James and Anne streets. James street market is one block away. The car park is right next door with a lift to the apartments. We had a one bedroom apartment, that had a balcony with a view of the city and the pool. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay, the apartment was clean, the bed was super comfy and great pressure in the shower. The first thing I noticed when I came through the door was how high the ceilings were a lovely sense of space. We will definitely stay here again.

A great apartment to stay in if you’re visiting the Valley. So close to all the shops and a 10 minute walk to the riverfront bars and eateries. Clean, spacious the best location. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Brisbane
