Five bedrooms spread across a layout that actually makes sense (you’re not bumping into each other constantly), and that pool out back? It’s not Olympic-sized or anything fancy, but on those sticky Brisbane afternoons when the humidity hits you like a wall, you’ll appreciate having somewhere to cool off that isn’t packed with other guests. The air conditioning works properly too, which – let’s be real – is non-negotiable in Queensland summers. I stayed there during February and never once felt like I was melting, even upstairs.
What I really liked about this spot is how it sits in the neighborhood. Eight Mile Plains gets overlooked by a lot of visitors who think they need to be right in the CBD, but honestly? You’re about twenty minutes from South Bank when traffic’s decent, and there’s a Woolworths just down Klumpp Road if you want to grab groceries and actually use that full kitchen. The street itself is quiet – mostly families, so you’re not dealing with party noise, but it’s not dead either. Parking’s easy right there in the driveway, which anyone who’s tried to find a spot in Brisbane’s inner suburbs will tell you is worth its weight in gold. The whole setup feels less like a hotel and more like you’re housesitting for friends who happen to have really good taste in furniture and don’t mind if you use their Netflix account.
