So I stayed at this 2BR apartment on Manning Street in South Brisbane, and honestly? It’s one of those places that just makes sense once you’re there. The address might not ring a bell if you’re not familiar with Brisbane, but you’re basically a stone’s throw from the Cultural Centre and right across the river from the city center – I mean, you can literally walk to GOMA and the State Library in about ten minutes. The apartment itself sits in this quiet residential pocket that feels surprisingly peaceful considering you’re so close to everything.
What really got me was how the place strikes this perfect balance between feeling like a proper home and being genuinely useful for travelers. The two bedrooms are actually decent sized (not those cramped hotel situations where you’re bumping into furniture), and the kitchen – well, it’s got everything you’d need if you want to cook instead of eating out every night. I ended up making breakfast most mornings because there’s something nice about having your coffee on the balcony while watching South Brisbane wake up. The furnishing is pretty straightforward, nothing fancy but everything works, and honestly the Wi-Fi was solid which matters more than people admit. Parking was easier than I expected too, which if you know Brisbane, you’ll appreciate – street parking around there isn’t the nightmare it could be.
The location thing is what really sells it though. You’re walking distance to the South Bank Parklands, which means you can hit the weekend markets without dealing with parking drama, and the ferry terminal is right there when you want to cruise over to the city proper. I found myself using the pedestrian bridge constantly – it’s actually faster than driving into the CBD most days. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel that I liked; you’ve got your corner cafes and the local pub, but it’s not touristy or trying too hard. Noise levels were pretty reasonable considering the area, though you’ll hear some traffic from the main roads – nothing that kept me awake, but worth mentioning if you’re super sensitive to that stuff. The 8.3 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be a luxury experience, but it delivers on what it promises and the four-star feel is about right. If you’re the type who wants to actually experience Brisbane rather than just sleep somewhere between tourist stops, this place gets it right.

Very good
Superb It had everything you needed! The owners were really easy to communicate with. We were able to check in early and it was easy to get another set of keys when needed. Great location!
It was absolutely warming We absolutely loved every bit of our stay in this place. Very family-oriented styled, the living space was open and spacious (plenty room to move around). The host was friendly, and very welcoming. They had all the things that a home needs from bathroom essentials, kitchen utensils, bedding stuff and cleaning supplies. My family and I had a really great time here!
